On November,18,2025 I went inside to repair my broken reading glasses. I met with a nice, friendly, Black women who had fixed glasses with perfection. I strongly recommend everyone to go there if needed.

I came in for my routine eye exam and lens exam after the forest hills location closed earlier this year. I gave the office a call seeing a missed a call from them requesting me to come in 20 minutes later. I said that's fine as long as i get both exams done today. I come to my appointment and the front desk with short hair and glasses told me that one of my exams isn't covered and I'd have to pay $135 after a 10% discount and the other office in forest hills were billing me incorrectly. After asking why wasn't I informed earlier that day when I called and when she had called. She stated she's human and had forgotten in the most condescending tone. But she had the opportunity to call me afterwards seeing how she immediately told me how much i had to pay the second i stepped into the office but waited until I came in for my appointment. I missed college for this and she was very apathetic, walking around the office as if she had more important things to do, taking calls, and didn't apologize for the inconvenience. she wouldn't give me 5 minutes to call my insurance to verify even though I was 10 minutes early to my appointment and immediately told me to cancel my appointment and reschedule which is absurd. I called my insurance after leaving the office and it indeed took me 5 minutes to verify. It just seems like she does not like doing her job and as someone who works in healthcare, even though you're in administration, you need to have some sort of professionalism and patience.

Eddie is an amazing optician and Dr Monohar is a great optometrist. Both take their time to help their patients. I bring my family here from now on! Because of Eddie's empathy, we made multiple purchases in one visit! Please keep Eddie around for our Fresh Meadows community !

I'll start this review by saying when I first came to this place last week, the energy was off. The black girl with glasses at the front desk is NOT friendly. I went straight to the reviews wondering if anyone else wrote about her and found that someone mentioned the same thing. I thought maybe she is not having a good day but I come back a week later and it's the same attitude, same demeanor, same misery. Very unfriendly, doesn't greet you when you walk in or say a simple "have a nice day" just straight to the point, borderline rude. When I said thank you before I left nobody said anything, not her nor the other young lady working there. So I stopped to say something about that but I just decided to bite my tongue because I know I can get disrespectful. I'm not sure if she brings her problems to work with her but she cannot hide the fact that she is miserable and unhappy. While waiting I couldn't believe how she went on with her coworker about "oh they are so nice over there". I wanted to suggest that she'd take notes but I didn't want to be negative like her. Either find a new job if you don't like this one or leave your problems at the door. She also wasn't very kind to one of the elderly customers there and seemed to not want to help her. It's clear she wasn't raised right and whomever hired her needs to get THEIR eyes checked if they can't see she shouldn't be the first person in contact for a customer service position. From a person that comes from many years of customer service working as a banker and bartender, I would NEVER hire her. Her negative vibe/energy is written all over her face and body language. That is all :-). I will also add that everyone else is nice and friendly. Abby is very welcoming.

Carolina and Terrell have amazing customer service ! Thank you! I'll come again and specifically work with them again! Carolina helped explain my multiple insurance options and Terrell truly took his time listening to my style and what frames I like. Plus, he made sure I got good lens for my eye health!

I have been coming to this place for three years and honestly, it's so sad to say that each year it gets worse. This year has definitely topped the others. It's incredible that I was suppose to get my prescription renewed in July and since I have been calling almost on a daily basis and NO ONE answers the phone and when they do, they put me on hold until it simply hangs up.the week before thanksgiving I finally get someone in the phone (who was extremely rude) asking me what did I want ?? (Excuse me??) I finally get scheduled for December 1, 2023 at 12:30PM. I show up a 12:25PM for my appointment and the place was CLOSED. How do you manage to schedule someone on a day the office will be closed. This place has become the absolute worst. Please save yourself unnecessary stress and look for another place.

Dr.Chiu is amazing! He helped me correct an incorrect prescription I had for years and actually explained the issues I had with my vision. He is a very knowledgeable doctor and you can definitely trust his opinion. They have a great variety of glasses as well. I will definitely be coming back and recommending anyone in need of a new eye doctor.

This is the place I got my first pair of glasses and i was excited to go with my daughter and let us both get our glasses here. I went a few days ago. Sadly I am temporarily disabled I am in the nursing fields and was injured so I wasn't dressed to impressed but not ragged either. When I went in they didn't even act like I was there. When I did get help it was from a kind representative named Ashley. But she was just there for the day she work at another location. She asked a woman named Lidia a question for me and she responded so nasty and she looked at me like I was less than or not worthy of her time. She was happily discussing real estate and how rich she is and thing to that nature. I would never go back to this place or recommend anyone go here. I was so sad but I asked Ashley which location she was at and I happily went there. Even though it was a lot further out out of my way I went to her location in Forrest hills called continental vision and I am so happy that I did. They took great care of me and was a 5 star experience.
