Legacy Optical

A great experience!! Arrived early for appt. Was immediately registered at the front desk. Sat for a few minutes and was called by the technician. He performed all the technical (computer) eye tests. Great explanation of what he was doing. Took the results to Dr. Kyser and within minutes, I was seen by him. Performed all examinations and optical tests , had great conversation, and answered all my questions.?I then was taken out to the frame displays and was met by a very competent and friendly Optician. She went over options, I told her what I wanted in new glasses. She immediately put together package, went to my insurance provider and made sure I had taken advantage of all items covered under my plan. Over all, a great experience!!! Kudos to Lisa and her staff at Legacy!!!

I have been a patient at the practice for more than 25 years, both for eye examinations and eyeglasses/contact lenses. The care I received and continue to receive is second to none. The staff, doctors, opticians, techs, are professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. Of note, because I have had either inadequate or zero vision coverage, cost was a concern for me but I have always found a wide selection of frames and lenses to fit my budget. Win-win for me, I would not consider going to another practice and recommend Legacy Optical without hesitation.

My experience with Legacy Optical was by far the best I've ever had. From the moment I walked in, the friendly team made me feel welcome. Throughout the entire exam process, I was treated with professionalism, kindness, and a truly personal touch. The wide selection of glasses left me in awe--there's truly something for everyone. Lisa has such a great eye for choosing frames, which made the process so easy. The entire team was incredibly helpful; in fact, I left with three different pairs! We have been patients of the Legacy Optical practice since it was established. The team of opticians and optometrists are outstanding in every way. Their state of the art equipment guarantees that they can professionally diagnosis and treat anything that may be affecting your vision. The choice in frames for eyeglasses is extraordinary. If you can't find something you like there, especially with Lisa's expert, personalized assistance, then it doesn't exist! Dr. Orabone has been taking care of us for about 20 years, and we always look forward to seeing her for our exams. Everyone in the practice is welcoming and there are staff on the premises that are fluent in Spanish if English is not your first language. We live on the North Fork of LI and have several local choices for our vision care but, despite the slightly longer drive, we wouldn't consider any other practice. I had an issue with my prescription and I called trying to sort it out. I asked for the doctor to give me a call to help me better understand why I wasn't given a choice on my contact brand per my prescription, but instead I got a call from a woman (maybe the manager) who blatantly said "oh you're calling because of this issue, well yeah we can't help you". I was met with the worst attitude when I was simply asking for help and advice on how to go about my issue. I was deeply disappointed on how poorly I was spoken to and treated as a patient. A little kindness and understanding goes a long way.

I can't say enough about how professional Legacy Optical in Hampton Bays is. They went above and beyond to repair my wife's designer sunglasses without ANY cost. That's a class act and says loud and clear that if you ever need eye care or eye wear, Legacy Optical, (just around the corner) in Hampton Bays is the place to be...and worth the drive.

Cannot say enough positive things about the staff and overall experience I had at Legacy Optical. Everyone is knowledgeable and friendly. They have been taking care of my family's needs for years and i highly recommend their services.

My husband lost his eyeglasses and it was urgent for him to get another pair ASAP. I immediately made an appointment. When we got there, we were presently surprised. Rob was handled with "white glove" treatment. After a thorough eye exam, he had an elaborate selection of frames to choose from. Reasonable pricing. In less than 5 days, my husband received his new pair of glasses. Fantastic, compassionate service. Even better, it is right in town. Thank you!
