I have been treating my retina with Dr. Coe for six months now and have felt comfortable with him since the first visit. His hands are like butter. You do not feel a thing. He has a way of explaining what's going on and keeps you in the know. I have never felt rushed during my visits to move on to the next patient. The visits are short and informative. He is my go to doctor when it comes to my eyes. I highly recommend Dr. Rodney P. Coe.

My husband has been a patient of Dr. Maisel for over 11 years. He was recommended to us by our ophthalmologist who advised us Dr. Maisel was an expert in his field. After being treated by Dr. Maisel and his staff for so many years, we certainly agree. Dr. Maisel has always shown the utmost concern in treating my husband's macular degeneration. He truly cares about his patients and giving them the best outcome possible. He has the most up to date equipment to insure the finest treatment. His staff is extremely friendly and caring. We have had a few emergencies over the years and each time Dr.Maisel and his staff were compassionate, professional and reassuring. Age related macular degeneration is an ongoing process for older people, and it has a tendency to escalate over time. Dr.Maisel has done an excellent job stabilizing my husband's vision. If you want a retinal specialist who is top in his field, highly respected by the medical community, and also dedicates himself to the highest quality of care for his patients, then Dr. Maisel and his staff at Retina Group of New York is the place to go.

The Retina Group of New York consists of Board Certified Ophthalmologists who are Fellows of the American Society of Retinal Specialists. They have additional subspecialty training and years of experience in retina conditions including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal tears, retinal detachment, uveitis, low vision, surgical complications and second opinions. Dr. Maisel, founder of the group, completed the Dyson Fellowship in Vitreous and Retinal surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. He has received a Special Congressional Award for his work in diabetic retinopathy and the Banko Gift of Gift of Sight Award. He also was named the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Humanitarian of the year.
