Kew Gardens Family Eyecare (Jennifer Chin OD & Stephen Dong OD)

My first visit with Dr. Chin (2/5/2026) & the reception desk was excellent. Dr. Chin was very through with my eye exam and I greatly appreciated her expertise, patience and kindness. Her reception staff (Ms. Carin) also showed me the same. Ms. Carin's customer service is excellent. My new eye doctor going forward is Dr. Jennifer Chin. Thank you!

Friendly staff willing to help. Watched them direct a person who was lost and couldn't figure out where they needed to be. As for me! I recently bought new glasses somewhere else and the script was wrong after two attempts to fix it. Unwilling to return a 3rd time a coworker found Family Eye care for me. I left the office confident and able to see clearly for the first time in years.

I had a great visit at Kew Gardens Family Eyecare. Dr. Chin is very knowledgeable and helpful. Kiran and Tae made sure I was accommodated with choosing my new pair of glasses. Definitely recommended for all your eye needs!

My family and I give Dr Dong and his staff 5million stars!! We are very happy coming here and know we are in excellent hands. Dr Dong is the best in caring about his patients needs and taking time to explain everything. The staff here are caring fun and friendly. Can't wait to come back again. Always a positive experience each time I visited the clinic. Dr Chin administered my routine eye exam and she is super friendly and thorough. She tells me I do not need glasses for now and I appreciate the honesty, but if or when I do I will definitely rely on this office! In addition all staff are so welcoming , I always feel at home here, the cool male receptionist makes great conversation with me while I wait lol, overall great people here!

Everyone that I met at Kew Gardens Family Eyecare was attentive, professional, and friendly. The office space and equipment was clean and wiped down between patients (yay for cleanliness!). I had an appointment with Dr. Chin and there was no wait time. It was important to me that I get a comprehensive eye exam and Dr. Chin definitely set the bar high. The optional upgraded eye scan (Optomap) was very informative and interesting. (It was my first time seeing this technology available and I'm definitely going to do it at every visit - no dilation, yay!) Dr. Chin answered all of my questions and taught me so much about eye care! She could even tell that I had allergies and when I asked for a recommendation, promptly handed me a coupon for an OTC one she recommended; including which dosage and the reason why. As I was finishing up my appointment, Dr. Chin walked me out and greeted the following patient by name. It's clear that she has amazing rapport with all of her patients. Afterwards, Tae helped me pick out some frames that would work for my face shape. It was like talking to a girlfriend who would never lead you astray. I loved how she would tell me if it was a good match or not; definitely preferable to taking and looking at selfies. She walked me through all of the different options, price points, and what my insurance covered. (Yes, they take insurance!) They're right outside the Kew Gardens train station; which means that it's easy to get there via public transportation, but parking is a hit-or-miss and can be tricky. TL;DR: Highly recommended.

I've been seeing Dr. Chin for my eye care, and I couldn't be happier. They are thorough, patient, and take the time to explain everything clearly. The office is welcoming, the staff is friendly, and I always leave feeling confident that my vision is in the best hands. Highly recommend!
