Dr Cohen himself I feel is very rushed when doing eye exams. The two women who work in the front are very short with patients, even those who've been seeing them for 6+ years. I'm unimpressed by the lack of hospitality and how they speak to patients overall, condescending in nature at the least, I have also been SHAMED for having broken glasses on several occasions. The outside of the business display window clearly states they take walk-in appointments, however upon entering I was told the offices does not take walk-ins and I would need to schedule an appointment. I've always seen the walk-in sign thinking it was legitimate, I was mistaken apparently. Needs to be updated ASAP! Staff needs to work on friendliness

I recently moved to the area & called to set up a new patient appt for dry eye syndrome. I was told when I called a different area clinic that optometrists can't prescribe medication & I would have to call an ophthalmologist. My optometrist in another state filled my Rx for dry eyes. I called this clinic & was told the same. I did point out that their website mentions dry eye diagnosis. I then Googled to see if this was a NY State restriction & saw that optometrists in NY State can prescribe Rx for eye diseases. The receptionist should have made clear that this particular provider doesn't prescribe medications & not that optometrists in general can't.

Dr. Cohen is great, his front desk receptionist is a terror. Loudly complained about me to her coworker when I came in checking to see if I could pop in early for a fitting appt and told her I didn't mind waiting. Also took a month for the glasses to come in and Cohen said come by after a week that sometimes they come early! I have never experienced someone so unprofessional. Also picked up my husbands glasses and he didn't have a fitting appt? So I guess she does her job when she feels like it. Also slammed my $500 new glasses down on the counter when I left......

Tried to cancel or rearrange appointment due to the weather warning issued for the county. Was told by the receptionist that I would have to pay the fee for rescheduling. I explained that I had an hour and half commute after directly through the path of the storm but she obnoxiously exclaimed that they were open so she didn't care. The receptionist clearly doesn't care about the business' reputation or the safety of the patients. Would return to the business if they got rid of her.

Been going here for years. No problems. Some reviews stated it was dirty. I assure you it is not. Most likely they have someone come in periodically to vacuum and clean windows. The staff and doctor are all friendly and professional.

I go every year and he's always kind and patient, on time and has offers of genuine hospitality. I wasn't born into his personal family but he makes you feel like a sister or brother. Great products and services. Thank you Dr. Cohen

We deal with customer service on a worldwide basis, and for a "small town" office.. Some of the staff is beyond exceptionally rude. We would never recommend anyone in our circle to visit such an aggressive place--not even for an eye exam. Unacceptable.

Dr Cohen is wonderful. l had the best eye exam ever & his receptionist is fantastic. I highly recommend this doctor.
