I stopped briefly so my dad could pick up his prescription and parked in one of their spots for about a minute. During that time, the front desk staff watched me closely, which made the experience feel a bit uncomfortable. I understand parking policies are important, but a little understanding and kindness in situations like this would go a long way.

Thorough, patient, wonderful! All of the most modern technology meets old school care and patient management. So glad I switched to this practice! Staff and doctor are kind and very knowledgeable. They take the time to educate you on your eye care and do not withold your prescription information. They care more about your health than selling frames and lenses. Treated as a person and a patient, not a retail sales target. I should have switched years ago.

The best eye doctor I could ask for. Very patient and knowledgeable, also my 10-year-old loves this place. Staffs are friendly and helpful as well!

Been going to Dr. Hargrave for around 5 years. Over the years I have gone to many different eye care proffessionals. I rate this place the best by far. We have never had a problem with the staff. Sandy is a wonderful helpful person that takes as much time as you need. And reading another review complaining it taking too long why would you complain? I appreciate a doctor that takes their time doing a thorough job. By the time I leave I am educated on my eyes and know everything that I should know. There is also a large selection of glasses that my insurance covers. I cannot stress enough to go here for your eye care needs.

What an amazing & caring office. After receiving the most thorough eye exam in my 66 years on this planet, Dr Hargrove wrote a prescription for multi focus glasses and contacts for me, never pressuring me to purchase them from his office. When he finished his more than one hour exam, he handed me the prescription. He said he was ordering contact lenses to try at no cost, so that I can see if they work well for me. I then asked him if I could have the glasses made by his office. The young lady that took care of me was amazing m, making sure the frame I chose would work for the prescription lenses I need. When figuring out the cost, she applied my AARP discount to save me what she could. Just a terrific experience!

The most thorough eye exam I ever had!! The Dr. Spent about an hour with me. Explaining everything and finally I know what is wrong with my eyes!! He even told me to hold off on getting my glasses because my vision could change in 6 weeks. The staff went over my insurance benefits and were very helpful!!

I've been a patient of Dr. Hargrave for over 20 years, first when he was with Sears Optical in Lockport, and now at his own practice in Lewiston. He is THE BEST! Takes the time needed with each patient and he is just a great guy to talk too. I highly recommend him.
