OCLI Vision Massapequa

I saw an Asian doctor who did me and my wife our annual check up on our eyes. No complain about the doctor, who is no longer with them. But the administration is ridiculously ill trained and don't follow any norms. The way they demand the advanced payments before the service was rendered, was unusual but we just moved in the area so we paid all the copayments etc. in advance. At the office we specifically asked for eye exams without any test for refraction(glasses). And they didn't do any test for it either. Both of us are 100% covered by our union for glasses. That time I went to a vision test store for that job. OCLA people collected all the money from my two insurance companies as per their contract with them. But from last November harassing me for some extra money for the job they didn't do. They don't answer or attend the phone so I left the message that they should look at my file and correct the mistake. They did not do any corrections and kept on sending the bill repeatedly. I keep on calling them, they don't answer. I push no 7 as they asked so they can call me back. But there is no call back. Please be aware of this kind of company who tries to extract extra money which they don't deserve.

My doctor recently retired, and a different Asian doctor took over. She is the nicest and most respectful doctor I have ever met. I have gone to her once before. The staff is very helpful, and the doctor appears to be very knowledgeable. I feel comfortable going here.

Dr. Sable did my cataract surgery back in late April and early May. He's fantastic. I've also seen Dr. Malik at the Woodbury office for laser surgery to repair holes in my retina. I have no complaints with either of these doctors. It's the OCLI billing department that I have a problem with. They made me pay the whole cost up front for my cataract surgery, even when they put it through the insurance. I called my insurance provider and they told me they'd (the insurance) actually paid something for it. I never received any money back from OCLI. I'd spoken to them on the phone several times and they told me they were taking care of it, but to this day it hasn't been resolved. I don't know what goes on over there but it smacks of incompetence. Again, the doctors I've seen are great...I've also seen Dr. Weinstein (at the Bethpage office) for over 40 years but I think I'm going to be shopping for a new practice for next year. I don't want to deal with the incompetence of their billing department anymore.

I made my routine eye appointment at the massapequa location because when I called I was told I had to do it online. They advised the Dr I should book for, for my routine eye exam. I usually go to garden city where I did my Lasik. I went in had the exam and was charged a refraction fee. I called the following day to learn they no longer take my vision plan as of last year and that I visited with an MD so they aren't credentialed with vision plans. I was told I should have known that when I made the online appointment, even after explaining the situation. This is why I am taking the time to write a review. There is a lack of accountability and responsibility when it comes to communication with patient care and to top it off when I reviewed my clinical note in the portal there is a treatment plan for dry eyes that was never discussed by the doctor which leaves me unsettled, feeling a billable code was needed since for me this was solely a routine eye exam. It cost me $90 to realize I will never visit this practice or group again unless it's to honor my lasik guarantee in Garden City. I hope this horrible experience helps another future patient!

Dr bacotti is great love him. but did not like the treatment I received this morning from the woman at the front desk. Unfriendly with a real attitude. She got my copayment wrong then tells me I owe money from 2018 and I said I'd like to call billing to check on it first and she had the nerve to tell me that I can't see the Dr without paying! For $25!! In my job I would never talk to people that disgusting!! How about a smile?!! Rude

Dr Michelle Yao is an excellent diagnostician. She explains everything very well and I am in agreement with her plan. I agree with her follow-up plans since she wants to make certain that I am doing well. Five stars is not enough!

Staff is very friendly.... Dr. Michelle Yao gave me a thorough examination and addressed all my concerns about my upcoming cataract surgery.....Her friendly manner put me at ease!... The Surgical Coordinator Alyssa Alsbrooks was also friendly and explained all the details about my Pre and Post-Op routine....I left the office feeling I am in good hands!

I have been going to this office for the last two and a half years and have always gotten great care. It's a very professional setting they are informative, the staff is friendly and helpful It's a comfortable environment. I love the way Dr. Michelle Yao ensures a through exam and provides precise diagnosis and instructions. I definitely recommend this office
