Sterling Optical - Nanuet

Don't waste your time at this location. I spent hundreds on a pair of glasses for my son that he cannot even wear because Nick failed to measure his face to make sure the frames would fit properly. Additionally, the glasses were made with an old prescription due to the office not having an optometrist available to perform the eye exam to see if he needs an updated prescription, which I'm sure he does. To make matters worse, it took more than two weeks for the glasses to arrive at the office for us to pick up. My son broke his old pair of glasses about two weeks before he was leaving town to go away for several months. For this reason it was important we picked them up before he left town. Normally it'd only take a few days for our glasses to come in, but I believe Nick made some kind of mistake with his order. And whenever I'd call to check on the status I'd get the run around and he'd blame it on the postal carrier. One time he said it was FedEx and another time it was UPS. It honestly didn't make any sense. So don't waste your time and hard earned money at this place.

Had my eye test here this afternoon and thank Dr Eng and Nick for the stellar experience. I had some issues with an earlier appointment and Nick did everything he could go to facilitate the change. My sincere thanks gentleman and I will absolutely recommend Sterling Optical. Update: just had my annual eye test, and I absolutely love Nick and Dr Eng. They really are two of the nicest people you can ever ask to meet.

Can someone please get rid of Nick. This is getting silly. My fiancee went in looking for bows for her glasses. Right off the bat Nick was very arrogant and short. This guy has absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. He didn't even really look to see exactly what was needed. Just blurted out too old and don't carry bows. Went to the place in Nanuet plaza by Nanuet diner and the lady was very helpful and said they are old, but maybe I can find them somewhere. So the glasses were left and the nice lady said she would try. Now Nicky did nothing like this. I've had issues with this dude before and he is awful. Please terminate this useless guy.

The guy who works here Nick is rude and obnoxious. In addition, he is violating NYS law by charging 3 percent on the use of a debit card according to the Rockland County District Attorney office. I have made a complaint regarding this business.

I had an exceptional experience with Dr. Karl Eng O.D. he thoroughly checked my eyes. And Nick was exceptionally great, he's a wonderful person, and I can say that I am very happy for he working with me. Overall I am recommending Sterling Optical Glasses to anyone searching for people who knows their jobs, and who cares about their clients.

I have been to every Eye/Optical store in Rockland County. This by far the place to be! Why? Nick and Kanela are the KINDEST, most PROFESSIONAL people I have ever been to!! They don't rush you, give their honest opinion, and care genuinely for your well being! Don't bother going ANYWHERE else!

My experience with Sterling Optical was amazing. The man who helped me schedule my first appointment was very kind and helpful. He made everything very simple and easy. Then - at my actual appointment, I waited almost no time to see the doctor who was very thorough in my exam. I ended up getting a pair of glasses which the woman working at the desk helped me find the perfect pair. She was so friendly and my glasses were ready for pickup less than a week later. Every encounter I had was extremely professional and kind - they treated me like family. I highly recommend them for your eye needs! I can't thank the staff enough!!

So happy with my new glasses and with my new prescription! Dr. Eng took his time, checked and tested my eyes with great detail! Kanela helped me find the perfect frame! I'm so happy!
