New City Eyes: Dr. Scott Garbowitz

Had a wonderful experience with Dr. Garbowitz. He made me feel very comfortable and was just an overall great experience. It was about a 45 min wait but I didn't hold it against the office. The doctor made up for it in his attentiveness and an extremely thorough exam. The staff were also extremely courteous, informative and very professional. It was easy to get an appointment via ZocDoc and a followup visit since they have a great variety of office hours. Highly recommend this location!

As a New City resident, I try to support local business whenever possible. The optician that I had used for several years closed his practice and I was in need of new glasses. I found New City Eyes in an on-line search and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Eckstein. The scheduling process was simple and straightforward with no "glitchiness" and I was able to find an appointment time that suited my needs. The word I used to describe Dr. Eckstein to my wife was "uber-professional". She was direct and clear in her explanations of what to expect and what she was either about to do or was doing. She provided an examination that was as, if not more thorough than other opticians I have seen. In a very patient exploration of which lens provided me the sharpest acuity, she helped me to land on lenses that I expect will improve my visual function. What more can one ask or expect from an optician? The office staff who helped with frame selection and measured me for the optimal fit were warm and friendly but also professional. I was comfortable in knowing that they "know their stuff". So, it's a week since my exam and 2 more weeks before delivery and final fitting. If I remember, I may come back and finish this review. Thus far I can report comfortably that in my opinion as a consumer, New City Eyes is a professional, safe and thorough place to go for eye examinations and glasses.

Dr. Garbowitz is the best! I have been taking the family to him for years and would highly recommend him.
