Port Chester Eye Care

Worst experience in recent times. When I booked the appointment for eye exam and glasses, I gave my vsp insurance info and asked if my exam is covered. He said yes and said nothing about what I need to pay from pocket. When I showed up, they said I need to pay $69 for the exam alone and I asked the lady what I'd be paying for total. Glasses, lens, frames... The tall guy who was impatient kept asking me do you want to do the exam or not. I said I need to understand what I'd be paying for from my pocket before I do any exam. The lady said it'b in $300+ range for exam and glasses. This tall guy kept mouthing and said oh times are tough, you don't need all of the features in the glass, just get plain glasses. I'm sure you can afford it. That really ticked me off. Dude, don't tell me what I can or cannot afford. All I was asking is upfront pricing. He said, oh will you go to restaurant and order food and send it back when they bring it. Of course I know what I'm ordering and it's price in a restaurant. This guy started a shouting match and got in front of my face aggressively. His mother and his wife/sister tried to calm him down. I wasn't backing off either and started using curse words, not at him or his family, but in general. The lady asked me to leave while still trying to pacify that guy. I left after giving all my personal information and insurance with these guys. Never going back again. Others can learn from my experience.

The doctors service id unbelievable, the attention is excellent, they take good care of the patients as well as me, and the eye glassed quality are great especially the oned I picked up. From a happy patient.

Went in for my first comprehensive eye exam , service was great, both did there thing and let me know what I had , I will be coming back next week I scratched my tear duct and it became irritated ;) Do y'all take tips or coffee ?

I didn't see a doctor here but they have been helping me order contacts through them. They have been very helpful in navigating my situation and are going above and beyond to make sure I am taken care of. It truly seems like they care about each and every patient individually and not as a number. Thank you to the team there!

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Port Chester Eye Care. Everyone here was so nice and helpful. My exam was quick and they were very patient with me. I couldn't recommend this place more. Easily the best experience I've had at an eye doctor.

5 stars all around for Port Chester Eye Care. I moved into the neighborhood at the end of 2023 and hadn't had a comprehensive eye exam in several years. I noticed I was squinting and figured it was time I finally needed to get prescription glasses for the first time in my life. I called on a random Wednesday morning and they were able to see me that afternoon. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and professional. I was made to feel at home immediately upon entering the store, and the comprehensive eye exam went seamlessly. They have good facilities / machinery for the necessary tests, and I was prescribed a very minor prescription which has made a world of difference. My glasses were ready for pickup 10 business days after ordering them - exactly when the staff told me they would arrive. When my glasses arrived, their team helped fit them to my head to make sure everything was comfortable. After noticing my glasses were a bit loose and sliding down my head, I decided to pop into the shop the next day and was immediately seen by Rodrigo who helped adjust them to fit my head better, and I was out of the store with better fitting glasses in 5 minutes. They are a top notch team who are a pleasure to interact with, and I will surely be returning for future adjustments / follow-up appointments.
