Eye Care for the Adirondacks

Terrible experience. Had been there 2 years ago with the kids and wasn't happy with the Malone office. Needed to go again so called and was told only Plattsburg had openings available so we made the apts and took the 1.5 hour (each way )trip only to be told the insurances which were in file from our past visit and I had confirmed during the phone call isn't being taken The receptionist was rude and condescending also. Will never recommend any of their practices

Everyone was very friendly, professional, and thorough. Dr.Catton was superior. The only downside of this visit was still being in the waiting room 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time.

The people at the practice are great, from reception to Dr. Catton, to the eyeware folks. My appointment started about 30 minutes late, and I think the waiting area could use an upgrade - it got a bit crowded, and the chairs are 'well used.' I also wish phone calls to the office went right to the local place, instead of to the central automated line in ... wherever, Plattsubrgh, I guess? That just feels less personal and local.

I have been a customer of Eye Care for the Adirondacks for many years. That said, i'm very disappointed with them. Following an appointment for an abnormal eye problem, not a routine visit, my insurance and ECFA got into a game of tag. While the situation was in dispute, i was promised a phone call with whatever the final determination was. I did not receive this phonecall. Instead, i was reported to a collection agency. Angry at this, i went in person to pay the bill and express my frustration at not being called first. I was promised that my paid bill would be immediately reported so that i would be taken off the list for the collection agency. A month later, i'm hearing more from the collection agency, which has implications for my credit. I'm very dissappointed by the poor communication from Eye Care for the Adirondacks and that I've had this much trouble from one simple bill.

The check in process was quick and receptionist was very knowledgeable and helpful. Staff and doctors during exam were great, had good communication and made the appointment quick and easy.

Everyone at the Saranac Lake office is very friendly as well as helpful. Dr Catton is doing a great job very sufficient timing with all the patients!

Everyone is always so pleasant andlo a fine job. Dr.Coton is a great Doctor. Cares about his patients and is very through. I reccomend Adk eye clinic.

Dr. Catton and the staff at Eye Care for the Adirondacks are amazing. From the moment you check in to leaving the office visit is seamless. Professional services with a kind and friendly attitude.
