Eye Q is in a completely different league from most optical shops. Their exams are truly state-of-the-art -- thorough, modern, and never rushed. You feel like you're getting real clinical attention, not just pushed through a machine. What really stands out, though, is the follow-up and service when it comes time to choose and order glasses. The staff a truly knows what they're doing and takes the time to make sure everything is right, from fit to function to style. Their frame selection is always stylish, current, and curated, not the same mass-market stuff you see everywhere else. And the lenses are top-tier. The quality is noticeably better than what you get from big retailers like Warby Parker: sharper optics, better coatings, and longer-lasting performance. Eye Q combines medical precision with great taste and real service.

While this store offers a wonderful selection of frames and was easy to work with on re-lensing my pair of eyeglasses, my wife had a less than stellar experience when it came to after-care service of a purchase for new eyewear a couple months back. After renewing her prescription via our opthalmologist and needing new glasses to reflect the change, we decided to come on in. The initial purchase process was great - Neil was very knowledgeable, helped recommend a few great frames, and was able to help us claim insurance for the new set of eyewear. The staff was great. The problem began after the initial set of lenses came in. Something was off with the initial pair of lenses. My wife had mentioned how things did not appear clearly at certain distances within an hour of picking the glasses up. Initially, I thought of it as an adjustment phase. We called the store to see if the prescription was notated right on their end, at which we were told to wear them for the week and contact our opthalmologist. A week goes by and my wife still had the same experience; distorted at distance with problems focusing up close. We went to her opthalmologist with the new glasses and to our shock, our doctor's lensometer showed the lab produced lenses that were off axis by 10 degrees on one side. Even our opthalmologist was surprised that this discrepancy wasn't caught by the lab or on final inspection at EyeQ. Once the problem was learned, we called EyeQ and were instructed to bring the glasses in so they can remake the lenses properly. Sadly, that meant leaving the glasses for another week. While the store did right by reproducing the lenses properly, it obviously left a sour impression that's coming up some time after the experience, especially as I shop for new glasses and found another optical boutique that delivers the same great selection and even more variety of lenses at similar cost, albeit with more care in mind. Wherever the error may lie, a total time of 3 weeks were spent waiting for the problem to be corrected, being given the run-around of going to our opthalmologist (only for her prescription to be correct), and the fact that an error made it through to the final product on the initial occasion still exist in the back of my mind. It begs question as to why couldn't we have brought the glasses back to the store and have it checked on their equipment for piece of mind & accountability when we first brought up the problem? As a store that has optometrists and equipment to ensure people can see properly, this is the least that could have been done.

State of the art exams and Dr Samantha is excellent. Professional, attentive, knowledgeable and caring. The entire staff treats you like you're one of one and is always kind and prompt in their reply. Awesome Drs and great customer service. Period.

Incredible new location. Great parking. State of the art exam rooms and machines. A pleasure! Loved the frame shopping experience as well. Definitely a 10 out of 10!

Dr. Valiando is a thorough experienced doctor who patiently explains everything and answers all of your questions in a friendly efficient manner. The staff is efficient ,knowledgeable and helpful as well. I have been going to Eye Q for over fifteen years and would highly recommend them.

Horrible experiences. We arrived on time for our appointment, but were told the appointment was canceled for no reason, no call or text received about the cancellation, considering they charged customers $60 if the appointment was cancelled or missed from customer side. Also double billing or charging happened multiple times before. I was asked to pay again after payment was already made. Please always remember to ask for receipts for any service here and keep them well to protect yourself.

Dr. Valiando was very welcoming and knowledgeable. She gave me a thorough eye exam and I felt comfortable at every stage of the visit. The office is clean and modern, the staff took care of insurance details ahead of time and all were very efficient. Upon checkout, they helped me with glasses options in store, they carry a wide selection of pricier frames but at no time did I feel pressure to get anything there. I eventually picked something onsite and they applied the amount that insurance would cover! Very pleased with the experience.

I had a wonderful experience at Eye Q in Scarsdale. Dr. Valiando was not only thorough but also genuinely kind and made the exam feel very comfortable. The front-of-house staff was equally great, they were so welcoming and really helpful while guiding me through the process of picking out new glasses. The whole experience felt great and stress free, and I left really happy with my choice. I'm glad to say this will be my new go-to spot for my yearly visits.
