Schenectady Eyecare & Eyewear (Dr. Todd Pereira)

Dr. Todd Pereira took very good care of me. I went in September of 2024 for contacts and he gave me a pair of contacts to get me through until i could try on my prescription. I didn't come back until March 2025 and my contacts had so much build up on them. I was out of a job and couldn't afford contacts, now that I could afford it I went back and he gave me two sets of contacts and we confirmed my prescription and I am so happy I could cry. The contacts fit so perfectly and I can see much clearer. I will always come here for my eye care and order my contacts here. Wonderful front desk staff and doctor. 10/10 experience! Thank you!

I have been a patient there for many years .Dr Pereira sent me to Dr. Kessler for a cataract she was very good..After my surgery and follow ups I went back to Dr Pereira 's office Schenectady eyecare & Eyewear the lady at the front desk quoted my eyeglass benefit as the regular benefit I explained to her and to the gentleman helping me with selecting new frames that the benefit for Eyewear after cataract surgery was a different benefit I even pulled up the benefit under my benefit site online and because she had to look in a different part of her computer system she refused to believe me she said she only looks at one part of her system for the benefits after her saying she didn't want to bother with it and telling the gentleman helping me pick out new frames to deal with it so he told me they would call me in a few days that they would have to find out what the insurance would pay even after I explained to them I had worked for health insurance for 20 years and I know my benefits I just told them never mind I'll go get my glasses somewhere else.. When I got home I did call my insurance Company they tried a couple times while I was on the line to call Dr Pereira's office it kept going to voice mail.I've been a patient there for many years but sadly I will not go back there again after that.. Watch your Insurance Benefits when you go there!

The best, most thorough AND efficient doctor eye doctor I've ever had, and I've been seen a couple dozen, having needed glasses for over 30 years (and I'm only 34). The office staff here are amazing at their job, super friendly, and I even have many options for frames that fit my big head. I hope this office and Dr. Todd are here for as long as humanly possible, I would hate to go anywhere else after having the best here.

I've been a patient here for 8 years. The service and staff here has always been the best. They always have a large supply of frames to choose from and almost always have an optician available to provide any tweaks and adjustments. I just recently began wearing over the ear hearing aids and the bows on my glasses were too thick I stopped into see if anything could be done and, lo and behold, she had thinner earpieces for my bows. Took her less than 5 minutes and now my glasses fit nicely with my hearing aids.

Best eye care! Have been a patient over a year now. Best eye exam. My prescription was spot on. I've had difficulty with progressive lenses in the past but not here. Great staff. They helped me pick out glasses I was very happy with. I'm not easy on glasses but mine have held up wonderfully. And it's a pleasant office to go to. I highly recommend this practice. I'm in the medical field myself and have been to so many other offices that don't treat you as well

Great staff and the doctor was punctual, informative, and kind who really cares about your eye health. It's like night and day compared to my last eye doctor's practice, and I will now look forward to my annual eye exams. Definitely recommend this office!

What a great practice ! The doctor thorough really cares about you , did many tests to make sure eye is healthy awesome chair side manner ! Office staff just beautiful very pleasant environment better than this big commercial places . Great Job!

I have been coming here for about 6 years now. The whole team is just so lovely and kind every time I come in! They talk me through my options and the best deal with my insurance. Can't imagine changing providers :)
