SightMD NY -- Southampton, New York

My overall experience was very positive. The staff I encountered were all professional and accommodating to me. They answered my questions clearly and succinctly. When I met the DR, she was also reflective and kind to me. I am glad to have had this appointment. Thank you

Dr Mileo was informative, clear and efficient. She answered my questions and did the procedure painlessly. However the office badly needs a renovation and modernization, its current condition is awful.

It was a very nice first visit. All the staff was super helpful and friendly. My doctor was amazing and very fast to help me get the right reads and tests done for me to get new glasses.

The office staff was friendly and efficient. The assistants were friendly, answered questions and were very helpful. Dr. Choinski is an exceptional doctor and surgeon who did my husband 's laser surgery and will be doing mine in the Fall.

Update: I was informed today January 27, 2026 9:25am via email that the doctor that I was addressing but did not name in my earlier review is leaving SIGHT MD Southampton. I am also still waiting for the $30.00 refund that I was promised by SIGHT MD's management. Original Review: Wrong prescription. My new lenses were useless. SightMD handled me, said the earliest we can address your problem is two weeks from now. Defensive, clumsy and unprofessional doctor-second rate support staff at the front desk defending their mistakes. The proverbial Delay -- Deny -- Defend. Watch out. I also had to pay an additional $30.00 to the establishment that generated my lenses due to SightMD's putting me off for a later appointment and exceeding the Eyewear store's time to make any corrections. I requested a refund of the 30.00 from SightMD since they delayed addressing the problem and had to beg them to do the right thing and credit my account. I was told this request must go through corporate for approval and that I would have to wait awhile before I would see any monies-still waiting.

Just had cataract surgery 4 days ago, results are incredible. Experience was just as described, result is exactly what I was hoping for. Everyone involved were very professional and helpful.

The visit and doctor's office are fine; I have no complaints. The optometrists, ophthalmologists, and audiologists are competent, and I was very happy with the care I received. However, what is disappointing is their back office. I was due a refund for an overpayment on a prior visit, and it was a very difficult and frustrating experience dealing with their billing department. For that reason, I have lowered the rating I would have given.

I was actually available an hour and half before my appt and they said the were booked but would call if there was a cancellation- which they did! I ended up starting the appt earlier which worked better for my schedule.
