I went here for the first time as a new patient today and also for the last time. I've had glasses my whole life and have been to eye doctors at least once a year for the past 22-25 years, and this was the worst experience I've ever had in one. The staff in the entrance/waiting area were very welcoming and very kind to check me in. No complaints there. My first red flag was when the chin and forehead rest were not sanitized. I thought it was a standard to do this in front of the patient because it is something I've seen my whole life in multiple offices. Maybe they did before I walked in, hopefully. Anyways, fast forward to the doctor calling my name. No introduction. I still don't know the doctor's name. He just sat down and didn't even look at me once until he had to put the thing on my face to read the letters on the wall (which wasn't sanitized either, and it was also rolling away from me, which I told him, he pushed it back towards me, turned around, and the thing rolled away from me again so I had to hold it with my hands during the exam because he wouldn't even do that). He does the usual "is this better or is this better?" So I tell him "this one is better but still blurry" then he changed it one more time and called it a day. Then he flashed a light on each eye for 1 second in each eye (I wish I was kidding or exaggerating), which I KNOW it takes at least a couple of minutes to see the retina and usually you would be instructed to look up, down, to each side, you know, how a complete and precise eye exam would be... and then he said "everything seems fine do you have questions?". Did I mention I was a new patient? And that in my history I mentioned that I sometimes see flashing on the corner of my eye that I believe are ocular migraines? Doctor did not address or ask me about this at all. He didn't perform a full eye exam on me. It was sloppy and so rushed. When he asked me about any questions I mentioned that I'm thinking of getting eye surgery and the doctor shrugged his shoulders (still not looking at me, he's looking away this whole time) and said something along the lines of "I mean, I guess you could go for an initial consultation and see what they tell you". That was it. Then I had to pay a $52 copay for this terrible experience and I wish I had the guts to say "I'm not paying for this joke" but I don't. I only went here because it's listed for providers under my new vision insurance, but I am never going back. It was terrible! I also looked at my most recent prescription and the numbers were way off. I know prescriptions can change but again, I've had glasses my whole life, enough to know that my prescription is not accurate, and I will get another one and pay full cost out of pocket for another exam with a competent doctor that actually cares about their patients. I debated all day whether I would write this review because I work in healthcare and the last thing I want is to ruin someone's reputation or even just their day, but I think it's necessary to point out that the experience was just horrible.
I had an excellent experience at Visionworks! The staff was professional and attentive from start to finish. There was little to no waiting, and the doctor assessed my vision accurately. The associates clearly explained all my options and recommended quality additional services without being pushy. Most importantly, they listened to what I wanted and took a personal interest in my situation. Thank you for making this a pleasant and stress-free experience--I highly recommend Visionworks!
I have been getting glasses and going to eye doctors for almost 20 years and this was the worst experience I have ever had. I have a family history of eye diseases like glaucoma and macular generation. I told the doctor this and specifically asked for him to look at my eyes for any signs of the 2. My examination lasted less than 4 minutes, it felt very rushed despite having specifically asked for a thorough examination to address potential early signs of disease. When I went to pick up my glasses they were way too strong. I was told then that the doctor had updated my prescription be 3 times as strong. This was unnecessary. I then had to undergo another eye examination, during which, again, the doctor barely looked at my eyes and even walked away while I was asking him about the new prescription. The updated prescription is better but still feels a bit strong. I will likely just go somewhere else and pay out of pocket to get them fixed because I have had such a horrible experience here. Like I said, I have been getting glasses and contact lenses for 20 years and nothing like this has ever happened anywhere else. I would not recommend going here!
I wish you offered a bigger selection of quality frames. Realizing it is typically busy in there, but this location needs a complete cleaning. The place looked dirty. The Associate Staff was very polite and courteous. Jaquan went out of his way to help me.
The Dr. looked like he needed a nap. His personal hygiene/ appearance was not good. I remembered him once I saw him and his appearance hasn't improved. That might seem trivial, but he's in Healthcare, not an Auto repair shop.
This was my 2nd time visiting this office. My first time with the televisit was very smooth and glasses fitting was great. This time did not go as smoothly. My initial appointment was fine. They had called for my contacts and I picked them up. I was told my glasses would arrive a week later. I was never called that my glasses arrived, I waited over a month and finally went to the office. They had my glasses. It turned out my glasses arrived a month prior and no one notified me. They claimed they sent a text but maybe had the wrong number. However this does not make sense, as they called me for my contacts. There was no apologies or empathy given, I was met with rude staff who did not care.
Sam, and Dee were an absolute pleasure to talk to today. They guided me in the right direction after dealing with a chronic eye infection that has lasted me forever and has changed my quality of life. They are both absolute sweethearts and are extremely talented at what they do. They both truly care about their patients and do everything in their power to make sure that I was cared for. Would recommend both of these amazing, young women!
I was concerned about the wait time because I had to get to work. They were very understanding. Staff was helpful and answered all my questions. Over all a very positive experience with everyone at each stage of the appointment.
So I've been going to this place for many many years always receive a 50% off coupon for end of or new benefit year NOW I don't and I have to pay full shot!! I wear bifocals which are expensive!!! Especially now 2026 So after all these years I'm taking my business elsewhere .... Called for info sounded like all those employees were having a PARTY This location has gone in the crapper whoever the owner is better get in check or this business WILL BE OUT OF BUSINESS!!
