Not going to waste my time going over how bad my appointment was as, based on what I'm seeing, the business doesn't actually care that they have terrible reviews with their generic responses listed here. Just know that all of the one-star reviews are entirely accurate. Save yourself the frustration and book an eye exam anywhere but here. Edit to add - The one saving grace was the employee who went over insurance/payment details with me. She was very helpful & the only asset to this business.

I had been going there for years, and the place declined as far as people working there. The appointment that I had took over 2 hours, half of the time I was sitting there while either staff were off-task and being unprofessional, or they were trying to figure out this new "AI Doctor", which is bogus by the way! I went into the room to get my eyes checked by the "AI Doctor" and they left with it being muted!!! The test kept continuing, which then I asked how accurate is this testing. The staff, and the AI doctor stated, "it works better than when a human in-person were to do it." The AI doctor then said "your right eye has improved since your last appointment" which does not make any sense!!! As I kept questioning them, they were defensive about it. Later on when I asked for a budget of glasses to get, it took another 15 minutes for AI to get my insurance coverage... All in all, the entire visit was unprofessional, disorganized, and I do not recommend anyone going to this location!

The 2 technicians who were there on the morningI went had no customer service skills at all. I was there for over 2 hours. Had to get them twice during my exam so that the "AI doctor" could finish. The only person who was very helpful and efficient was the woman who helped with my glasses and checked me out. Been going there for years without too much of an issue. This time it was horrendous!

Had been going here for years in the past, don't know what happened to the place but it RAPIDLY declined. went to first appointment that took over an hour to take me in just for an hour "ai doctor" to do the appointment and do it wrong. my glasses prescription was completely wrong so i had to make an appointment to come back. again waiting another hour to go in, never took me back, had to just leave. this place is absolutely ridiculous. NEVER BOOK AN APPOINTMENT HERE.

Every employee at your West Genesee Fairmount, New York was very polite and courteous, especially Brittany. We originally went to by myself glasses, And now my wife will be buying her glasses there as well. I believe that Brittany if not a store manager, she should be. thank you for a great company

The staff is great and I like the location. I do not however feel that the exam was carried out appropriately . A virtual exam was performed and the program they used was not working properly . The staff did connect us with a Dr who reviewed the partial exam and he filled the prescription based on a half completed exam .

Do not go here under any circumstances, unless your insurance will not cover you to go anywhere else. From the telehealth eye exams that they tell you nothing about until you get there, to the poor quality lenses, nothing but subpar service. I got my first glasses in June, went back a few weeks later because I couldn't read out of them - I said this as soon as I picked them up and the person told me to give it a few weeks- , went back a few weeks later because the reading portion of the lense was so small, I jjsr couldn't read with them. Got those, still couldn't read. Went back again to request an in person eye exam. Went back for that, the dr. was rude and dismissive. Then I went back to pick up my glasses with no notification given. I just thought I would check to see if they were there. They handed me the glasses with my new prescription without fitting them or checking them in any way . Got them home and STILL couldn't read with them. I just returned them this past Monday for a full refund. The office is dirty, the chairs are worn with rips and tears in the "leather". The carpet is dirty. The people working there are ever changing. Most are nice. It isn't their fault that the exams are faulty, the dr is rude and the place is a mess. Just went to America's Best near Wegmans. The difference of day and night. Sorry Visionworks, I gave you every opportunity to make it right. Send this on to your corporate office so they know what you're dealing with.

Staff at Visionworks are very polite. The Associate took the time explain each aspect of the exam. Another Associate helped me find frames and took measurements and was very polite. I wish I remembered both names because I would like them to be recognized. They both exhibit all the qualities that make doing business with them, very easy.
