This place is absolutely amazing. Had an eye injury Sunday evening, called Monday morning at 8:00 AM and was in the office at 9:30. They were SUPER helpful, diagnosed the issue, gave me drops and saw me two more times the same week to make sure everything was healing. This place is a GEM. I waited for a total of 5 minutes at each appointment. Dr. Torrales is great and they were beyond accommodating. Great office, highly recommend.
Dr. Torrales and their assistants are great, but the billing department is terrible. They make mistakes, and they don't accept them. They call me a layer, hang up the phone, and interrupt me when I try to explain my part of the story. I'm going to pay them, but I will never put my feet in that office. They are disrespectful and unprofessional.
Do not go here if you need an eye doctor go literally anywhere else. So unprofessional I waited over 30 minutes for my doctor to come in just to speak to me about my contacts, (they told me when I made this appointment it would be a quick appointment to see if the contacts were working for me) could hear him outside my door having personal conversations with his assistant the entire time. Eventually I just left and they told me for future reference that I should just cancel my appointments instead of wasting time. I'm going to a new eye doctor.
The work seems fine, but I had to sit in the room literally for one hour between the assistant leaving and the second person coming in to examine my eyes, and that was not the doctor yet! They also gave me wrong prescriptions! I had to call them later to make sure that was written inaccurately!
Great doctors at a tragically terrible business. I went to this office for years, until their billing department screwed up one bill repeatedly to an unforgivable degree. I love them as practitioners, but I cannot recommend them as I would not want anyone to go through what they put me through with my bill.
I went to this office every year for several years without my insurance ever changing. Every year before my last visit they handled the billing correctly. This last visit they screwed up repeatedly and then repeatedly lied about what they were doing with it, or did not do what they said they would do. No insured patient should ever have to go through what they put me through.
Very pleased with Syracuse Eye Center. Staff friendly, helpful, and thorough. Exam by Dr. Petrela was very thorough especially given my and my family history. Their parking is easy convenient especially for those with disabilities.
This is the worst eye doctor I have ever seen.
Give me a two old years expired trail, went back to them and show them the expired once, and the receptionist called the doctor and asked him if its ok if I used an expired one!! They also replaced it with an expired once. The doctor is rude, took so long for the examination, two hours and half, not clean, never used gloves, never washes his hand. Medically wrong. Also the doctor give me a trial lens for an old prescription and when I asked him why is that, he said its fine to wear old prescription which is medically not recommended, I shared with him my medical concerns for wearing an old prescription and said its fine to use this one which is weird, since the purpose for the eye examination is to update the eye prescription and to avoid any serious medical problems that can be devolved for using an old prescription such as headache. I don't recommend this clinic at all, can't trust them. Note: there is no free parking for this clinic.
I have been a patient for over 20 years. The staff and physicians are very attentive and the exams are very thorough. Dr. Morason has a wonderful bedside manner. I also appreciate the guidance I receive at the onsite Optical shop.
