I've been a long time patient there and recently the patient experience has
gone down hill. I had a 9:30 AM appointment and was checked in by 9:20. At 10:45 AM I had still not seen a doctor. I ended up having to leave the office at 11 o'clock to make another appointment, still not having seen a doctor. There were many other people in a similar position as me. The waiting room was packed. When I had to leave, I alerted the front desk and they were shocked that I hadn't dedicated my entire day waiting for them. My impression is that they are taking too many patients and they do not have either the staff, the processes, or the tools to see the number of people that they're trying to see in a day. It's beginning to feel like a billing factory. P.S. no one from the office has called to follow up with me about rescheduling.

The doctors are great, the front desk leaves much to be desired, and the practice overall has gone downhill. Last year, I was told I had to pay a $150 deposit because I had a high deductible plan - which I do, but it has a copay for doctor visits and I have a medical condition that makes eye exams covered. It took many phone calls and several months to get credit back after the claim was processed. This year, same thing but I brought the EOB from last year with me, so they adjusted it to $90 for the copay and refraction. I had pictures of my eyes taken, the doctor did a basic exam and I was told if I wanted an exam for glasses that I would have to make another appointment and come back. Since when is this a separate procedure and appointment? Especially since they charged me for it! I assume that OCLI took over and wants to get as much $$ from their patients and insurance as possible.

I have been trying to see Dr. Niles for over 2 months; in that time the office made 4 appointments for me and every one was cancelled.
One appointment was changed to a different time and date but no one communicated this to me until I arrived at their office.
This is unacceptable and without respect for their patients.
I have been very happy with Dr. Niles, (I have been seeing him for years), but it's time to find a new doctor. It's too stressful living with a serious eye condition and not being able to see a doctor in a timely manner.

Went in for my annual checkup that is fully covered under my health insurance. Was told my doctor retired and was being assigned a new doctor. A month later received a bill for $200+ because the doctor I saw was "out of network". Now three months later I'm still receiving the bill. I refuse to pay this as I was never told I was being assigned a doctor whose services weren't covered by insurance. Shoddy practice

My wife just had her yearly exam at this location. We have 2 issues with this medical facility. First, it is very uncaring, irresponsible, and negligent that an elderly patient in a wheelchair cannot open the door and access this facility. You have to get someone to hold the door open for you. You should not have to wait for someone to do this. They don't want to spend the profits they make to install automatic door openers as do almost all other medical facilities. This is absurd! I have mentioned this problem to them for several years and nothing has been done about it. This is the 21st century and to not have automatic door openers screams out to me that they just do not care. 2nd, we were just informed that should you need a new vision prescription, you will be charged $40.00 extra. WHAT! We are paying good money for the exam as is and should absolutely not have to pay extra for a new prescription. Patient's beware. Other than this, no problems.

I had a 2pm appointment. Arrived at 1:45 and was checked in. At 3 I was still sitting there with patients who came in at 1pm. The staff are incredibly rude and the office smelled like a nursing home. I had been a patient for years and am disgusted! I will never go back and am telling anyone that listens to stay away from OCLI!

When I saw a sign on the door that current patients should expect their appointment to take from 2-3 hours. I thought it was a mistake or perhaps that was for walk-in patients. I was never given a heads up to plan for 2-3 hours when I received the reminder call 48 hours prior to my appointment. I signed in and was told to be seated. I waited 45 minutes just to get checked in. I waited another 45 minutes to see the preliminary technician. 30 minutes for that. Then waited another 30 minutes to see the doctor. Another 30 minutes with the doctor. Proceeded to check out and another 15 minutes in a check out line. So from start to finish I was 2 hours and 45 minutes for a routine eye exam schedule 1 year prior. Honestly, I don't know how any business could retain customers with that kind of service.

Do not attempt to use the patient portal for anything other than making an appointment. It's impossible to send messages. It could be beneficial if they fix it.
I like my doctors. I have been a patient of Dr. Niles for over 10 yrs. Used to be able to call the office for more personal issues. Since becoming OCLI you can't reach the office without going thru a call center then wait for a call back. Also, there appears to have been a complete change over of nursing staff and office staff. Not for the good, either.
I guess this is health care in the 21st century.
