Black Mountain Family EyeCare

I was very impressed with this facility, (having not gone to an eye doctor in about 50 years!) I had some debris in my eye which was causing vision problems and they made ap appointment for me within half an hour and I was seen promptly. The doctor explained what he was doing, and removed the debris quickly and also explained follow up needs. I was very thankful for their professionalism! .

Everyone at BMFEC is friendly and professional. The office atmosphere is relaxed and we never are kept waiting. The Docs and Techs are skilled at their respective positions. Your thorough exams will include an in-depth explanation of the findings with as much time as you need for questions. We are blessed to have this practice right here in our own community

The reception and technician is excellent and enjoyable. The male doctor, however, was angry last year when I declined the $30 retina scan. He was hostile and vindictive telling me in the hallway as I left that I had some macrodegeneration. This year the tech did the scan without getting my acceptance of the out of pocket charge which was a surprise $39. I saw the scan showing very little crystallization of macrodegeneration that he reported without a scan. Both times dilated my eyes, which I understood the first time to be an alternative to the scan. I will not go back to him. There is no urgent monitoring of my retinas needed. I do not appreciate someone spending my money for me.

Ive been a patient of Black Mountain Family Eyecare since they opened. I was working in Black Mountain at the time, and now that I live and work in a different town, they are absolutely worth the 40 minute drive! Everyone is friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of frames too!

My visit this morning was prompt and professional. I arrived on time and it took less than 2 mins to check me in. I went straight back. The entire exam was complete in 30 mins. Dr. Cody was clear and thorough. I was able to order new glasses as well and I walked out of the office in less than one hour total. Highly recommend!

Everyone is just always so kind and I feel welcome each time. The technician is very efficient and detailed, and the Partlow's always take time with me and really know my patient history. Very grateful to Black Mountain Family EyeCare!

I experienced an eye injury and they were kind enough to squeeze me in with short notice, even though I had never been there before. They were kind and knowledgeable, I feel much better having seen them! I liked them so much that my husband even made an appointment while we were there.

From the very beginning, I've always had great experiences with Black Mountain Family EyeCare. I feel that the staff there listen to my concerns, they give me the information that I ask for and they will be upfront with you, if you aren't a good candidate for different things e.g. contact lenses, LASIKs etc... They have a decent selection of frames, ranging from very budget friendly to more on the expensive side but that is to be expected. Definitely will continue as a customer. Would highly recommend.
