Dr.Langford removed my keloids and it went extremely well, however I was concerned about a keloid coming back and decided to schedule an appointment. My appointment was probably 20 minutes long, and I was told that I could have the small bump removed again. I asked how much it would be, they told me to ask the front desk. They also told me they didn't know how much it would be and it shouldn't be as much as the first surgery once I told them how much I originally paid. The front desk tells me that my insurance will send me the amount. I was not sent the amount. I go to the appointment, expecting to pay upfront (which is what happened when I had my keloids removed originally.) but they told me I did not have to pay anything. When I left, I asked if I had to pay anything and they said I would've been told at check in if I did.
I get my stitches removed a week later, no mention of cost. I only happened to need to ask my doctor a question regarding another piercing, to which I see I was charged 270 for the meeting where I said I was concerned about the keloid coming back, and another 1200 for the actual surgery. None of which was made aware to me. (I knew the surgery would be out of pocket, but I thought it would be less per them saying that.)
I message my doctor via the CEENTA chart, asking their opinion on getting another piercing. I explained both my experience with scars and tattoos, and my opinions on my keloids. I was hoping for legitimate advice, and the only response came from someone who isn't my doctor saying "keloids can happen any time any place."
they are extremely unhelpful, despite being the people I should go to for situations regarding my skin and my health. They seemingly only care about the money they're getting from my visits.
I didn't have good experiences with Dr. Stowell. After years of dealing with a constant issue over & over again, it was determined I have a rather high allergy to some critters that are apart of our everyday lives. I begged this man for allergy shots & he shot me down on each request. Instead he gave me a hefty list of things to include in my everyday life that a simple allergy shot would fix. He treated me how the typical male Caucasian doctor would treat a black patient & that really bothered me. I could tell on my last visit with him he wasn't taking me seriously & had this expression on his face like "yea whatever, I know better, & you don't" with also a slight expression of "I'm over this patient" displaying as well. I felt so defeated cause I just wanted relief. In fact he looked inside my nose that day & swore everything looked fine that moment & my nose was on FIRE. I went to an urgent care like 2 days later after my visit with him & lo & behold, I indeed had another sinus infection showing in the same red & inflamed nose he said looked fine. That was the final confirmation I needed to seek care elsewhere. He truly frustrated me because these doctors only HEAR about what we go through. He honestly treated me like a mental patient because he didn't believe a word about my experiences. I sat for a year contemplating on what to do. I wanted to leave this practice as a whole but my son (who he sent off to another doctor) had a surgery performed by another doctor who absolutely adored the first day we met. She LISTENED, didn't treat me like I was crazy, didn't undermine me, & performed a very successful surgery on my baby. I decided to give her a try this year because I was so satisfied with her services. Just one visit with her is now giving me a lifetime of relief potentially. She looked into my file & determined the allergy was indeed high enough for allergy shots & especially since I'm still having the same problems over & over again till this day. I start my shots within the next week & I'm so excited. It's crazy to me Dr. Stowell didn't have the same opinion as Google indicates an allergy with an 8 mm reaction is typically a severe allergen with ALLERGY SHOTS being the next step for treatment. Not anything on that hefty list of things he gave me that I wasted over $1000 on & could not get every penny back for. Overall, I'm thrilled with this newer doctor I'm seeing. Shame on you Dr. Stowell. LISTEN TO YOUR PATIENTS. We're paying YOU & we're the ones going through these things we're seeing you for. You treated me as though you had to pay for the shots or something smh.
However & lastly lol, I would say for the BEST allergy treatment, go to Carolina asthma & allergy.
Dr. Barnes is fantastic! He's thorough, knowledgeable, and has a simple way in explaining things. Highly recommended him as well as Dr. Gupta! My only complaint, and it's a huge one, is the phone staff are by far the RUDEST receptionist I've ever spoken with. I was told to 'maybe not miss their call next time' when I missed the call by 10 mins due to something out of my control. In the same call, I was told 'my emergency must not be a real emergency if I can still work'. After my current treatment is completed, I will NOT be a returning for any care, or bringing my family to receive care. The handful of ladies I spoke with via phone all seemed to hate their jobs and anyone they talked to. As a patient, I felt belittled, unimportant, and pawned off to others. After being tossed to 5 or 6 different people, I ended up speaking to Triage Mike. He was over the top attentive, understanding, knowledgeable, and truly made me feel like my emergency was valid on the phone and in office! 5 stars for Dr Barnes, Dr Gupta, and Triage Mike. Receptionist don't even deserve the 1 star I have to give.
I did not have a good experience here. I was met with a whopping bill of $225 that I was told I had to pay 100% in order to receive the services. I had 60% that I could pay and asked if there was any way I could pay the rest when I got paid. They said no. The front desk just kept shoving a letter in my face: saying that this bill should not be a surprise, as it was sent in the mail. Unfortunately, I never did receive that letter. Had I known, I would have rescheduled or asked for other alternatives. Feeling pressured and in need of answers, I put the remaining balance on my CC. Only to receive a bill for an additional $575 but yet, the bill says the insurance is still pending! How are you going to send me a notification for an outrageous bill if my insurance claim is still pending? On top of that, I was told I would need allergy shots and having anxiety about the cost; was told the office would follow up with me after contacting the pharmacy about the cost... three weeks later I still never heard back from this office. On top of that, the PA I seen sent me a nose spray to a "speciality pharmacy" because they were the only ones in this area who carried it.... That cost $75 meanwhile , my local CVS has it. Kick back much??
Extremely disappointed in my experience at this office. And I will not be paying this office another dime.

Worst experience with a facility I have ever had. Received an appointment after a referral, made arrangements to reschedule and cancel other appointments and personal work clients to be able to make it happen. Confirm with the message if I reschedule within 24 hours or no show they will bill me $50 dollars. Appointment is for 9:30am this morning at 4:36pm yesterday I get a message to my portal it was scheduled incorrectly and they need to cancel on me...too late to call and discuss with anyone. Called this morning and there is nothing they can do except send me across town at a totally different time or reschedule. Don't go out of your way to make appointments work schedule them when you have availability since clearly the facility doesn't care.
Believe the reviews. The front desk staff is awfully nasty and if you're on Medicaid they treat you subhuman. The P.A., Meagan, didn't even read my CT scan from the ER visit I had the day before. I have 2 stones in my salivary gland, one measuring 5mm. During my visit she said "it looks like just one and it's tiny" well, I read my chart and that was not the truth, so clearly she did not read my chart. Now days later I'm calling back to reschedule with a doctor, so that they can review my treatment plan since the P.A. clearly didn't read my chart and the front desk receptionist was nasty saying a doctor won't "accept" my insurance. Only after asking her what my options were did she say she can check on another location. Mind you, because of these stones, I have an infection (cellulitis) in my NECK that reached the soft tissue. My neck was swelled up to the size of a dragon fruit. This is not a minor issue I'm facing, but this office has done nothing but minimize this issue and treat me badly when asking for help and understanding.
Also, a couple months ago I took my daughter here because she put something in her ear, she's autistic, and Jeremy, the other P.A. was incredibly rude, would scoff and actively make you feel like he did not want you in his presence. He was not informative or helpful. I have no idea what this practice has going on, but WOW. I'm not sure if it's discrimination towards Medicaid patients or people that look differently than them, but the treatment from your team is repugnant.
The Concord CEENTA is too big. My appointment was scheduled for 8:10am. The web page said hours started at 8am. This should have meant I was in & out in half an hour. I arrived at 7:50am. I waited in the waiting room for about an hour. I was brought back for 5 minutes of tests; then sent back to the waiting room for another hour. I was brought back to see the doctor. I waited in the exam room for 15 minutes. The doctor came in for a 5 minute exam & sent home. I went to the checkout where the lady had no idea where I lived, which office would be most convenient, and worst of all which doctor I should be seeing. She tried to make an appointment at that same Concord office with the same doctor I saw today. She had no idea that I was forced to go to Concord because my surgeon was on vacation (or something). When I went up front my information should have been available on her computer screen. My eyes were dialated and I could barely think straight myself. How can I be expected to tell her my history? I arrived for a simple 8:10am surgical follow-up appointment at 7:50 and did not get out of there until 10:45am. Where, if I was one of the first appointments, I should have been crawling into my bed at home by 9:30am.
Staff is okay. The doctors I spoke to are a little curt and spent less time with me than it took to walk to the room from the lobby. The billing department sent me to collections for an unpaid balance from an automotive accident that I was not at fault for despite me providing proof of payment from the at-fault party's insurance and the contact details for the bodily adjuster if they needed further payment or clarification multiple times.
