Dr. Freedman has been treating my son's eye conditions and she consequently has been saving his eyesight since his childhood; my son is 30 now, he maintains good eyesight and he still is in Dr. Freedman's care due to the complexity of his eye conditions. I am forever grateful for her and I fear the day of her retirement.

I'm so pleased that my eye surgery was performed by Dr. Sharon Freedman. Based on my experience from the initial exam through surgery and follow-up, I'm convinced that she and her team are committed to excellent care and excellent results. She took the time to answer my questions fully. I was especially pleased because, when I asked what options were available to minimize the risk of hospital-acquired airborne infection, she agreed to wear an N95 respirator, and her team members did so too. Since I have an immune compromised family member, this was very meaningful to me, and I'm grateful. I felt as safe in every way having my surgery with Dr. Freedman at Duke as I think I would anywhere in the country.

Dr. Freedman is one awesome woman!!! My son has been seeing her since he was a baby and he is now 14 years old!!! This lady knows exactly what to do and how to do it. We travel 2 1/2 hours away and will do it over and over if need be. My son was born with glaucoma and suppose to went blind in his left eye. Let me tell you Dr Freedman really let God guide her hands with his surgeries!! Now my son is the lead drummer at the church I attend and sees anything even the smallest item on the floor. God really blessed us with Dr. Freedman!!!!

My 3 year old daughter had an appointment today at 3:15, the nurse called us 20 min. After to work us up before entering the room she literally snatches her glasses of her face without talking to her asking her or anything, scaring her, how are you going to exspect her to not be afraid of you now or cooperate with what's to follow? We got send back into the waiting room waiting on the doctor but unfortunately after waiting 1.40 minute we decided to leave a 3 year old isnt going to sit in the waiting room behave forever. I had a previous appointment with Dr. Freedman were they pulled the wrong chart and started Calling my daughter Katelyn, which is not her name. My opinion is she may be a great doctor but unfortunately has way too many patients than she can handle.

We are so fortunate to have Dr. Sharon Freedman MD in our area. She is the best professional, dedicated and has a passion for her work. As a professional healthcare worker myself I know excellence and quality when I see it. For those that complain about the wait hey your loss if you leave. She dedicates her time to you when you get to see her. I have graves disease and after 2 years it has finally ran it's course and I was left with crossed left eye she did my surgery and my eyes are perfectly aligned now and no more double vision looking on you tube at others reviews of their surgeons and their outcomes I'm sure she is one of the best.

The most amazing!!! She took care of my 2yr old daughter from day one , she coached me from top to bottom on what to do and expect during surgery and home. I drive 2 1/2 hours to see her. Yes she has a lot of special eyes but I will wait for excellence!

I no longer see Dr. Freedman anymore but when I was a little girl, Sharon Freedman was so lovely and sweet to me during every last one of my visits with her. I was just thinking about her and I'm going to see if all was well with her very soon!
