Everyone who works here is friendly, attentive, and diligent. Dr. Byrd is deeply caring and goes out of her way to ensure that your prescription is a perfect match. She is very patient and thorough -- you feel like an actual person and not just a patient she is trying to rush through. I've had to go back several times to ensure that my prescription/contacts are the right fit (my eyes are picky), and Dr. Byrd and the staff are always welcoming and eager to help.

I took a pair of sunglasses in for repair that MyEyeDr had broken a screw on. The gentleman that helped me out was amazing and was able to extract the broken screw and replaced it as well. When I asked how much I owed he just told me to have a nice day. What incredible customer service!!!!! They definitely have my business going forward!!!

I have nothing but praise for my experience at Specs. I walked in 5 minutes before closing on a Saturday and walked out an hour later with glasses in hand. The treatment I received was above and beyond. Although he should have, Joe McCauley did not rush me and worked to help me find a pair of frames that fit my face and pleased me. Several of the other employees in the store, including Dr. Christy Byrd, then took the time to help me decide between the 2 finalists:). They gave honest opinions and reasons behind their choices. The whole experience was lovely, and I will definitely go back again. The frames they carry are unique, colorful and stylish and better than any others I have seen during this past week when I have been shopping. I am not comfortable ordering frames online. It was wonderful to see several options on my face and get the opinions of those who are trained and are the experts. Thank you, Specs!

I'm a big fan of Dr. Bryd and Specs at Southpoint. Like others, I've been going there for well over a decade, though it had been three years since I'd been in mostly due to family hardships. My exam was through and pleasant, as usual, but today's experience was beyond. Ruth and her team went out of their way to repair and help me keep the fashionable frames I purchased there four years ago, because no one makes those frames anymore. I now have fresh, clear new lenses with my new prescription, but with the frames I love. I am beyond grateful. Thank you, Specs!

I started going to Specs last spring. A friend of mine had gotten her glasses and frames there and was very happy with the selection of frames and their service. I thought that I wanted some frames that were lighter weight. While I was there, one of the doctors looked at my wire frames and spent a long time adjusting them. Then, he didn't even charge me! I was comfortable with my glasses until I lost them. I was so impressed with the staff at Specs that I decided to go to them because of their selections and, more importantly, because of their great customer service. Once more, they helped me select great frames that were light weight and suited my face. Even though the lenses are progressive, I received my glasses in record time! Thanks you Specs! I know the commitment to serve your clients is consistent and sincere.

I found Specs through the recommendation of my doctor at Duke Eye Center, and I am SO happy to have found them. I have severe myopia, different prescriptions in each eye, and my eyes wander without correction (apparently making it difficult to correctly identify the transition point for my progressives). This has caused problems for other optical stores, but not at Specs. I get fabulous quality high index progressive lenses at super competitive prices. There are SO many beautiful frames to choose from, including amazing colours and styles. And the customer service is stellar. Ruth has worked with me over the years on a variety of special requests, and both she and George have advised me on frame choices that resulted in me having impressively comfortable glasses that people constantly compliment me on. Buying glasses is a major investment for me, but buying my glasses at Specs makes that experience fun and leaves me feeling really happy with my purchase. I definitely recommend that you check them out.

The staff, especially Ruth, are wonderful. I've been going there for years, George has the most patience ever. Specs has quite an eclectic, stylish, and functional selection of frames. I know this because I have a dream list there. Plus the staff have really good taste and they can help you to the best frame for your face and style. I drive an hour for this :-)
