Vision First Optometry

This is my review. My appointment was at 2 o'clock and I understand they're close for lunch from one to two. Which We were not aware of. My Husband and I got there a 1:50 pm. However, the lady opened the door didn't acknowledge Us at all! She just said OK I'll let you in when I mention I had a 2 o'clock appointment. We just sat in the dark lobby. They did not even turn on the lights for us, so I'm looking at glasses in the dark to purchase! Like, I said nobody looked at us they had not the courtesy to say hello! Nobody greeted us. Not even Dr Elizabeth York. She walked in front of us twice and never acknowledge us as we sat in the dark lobby for 25 minutes! They were walking back-and-forth just like we were invisible so finally at 2:15 , I went to the window to talk to them. The lady would not even open the sliding glass door to where she was sitting just wave a dismissal to me, I needed to tell her that I did not have my insurance card with me as it was clearly stated in the window that I needed it even though they had all the information when I made the appointment . We left and if they think they're going after me for $50 for no-show! They will be talking with my attorney! I was there, but they were not, we also drove 30 minutes each way. Our time is just as valuable As their, but obviously they don't know what Customer Service is.

I was very happy and satisfied with my new glasses. It's the first time I have gotten glasses that properly helped my vision. Had multiple issues with other eye doctors not addressing the blurriness in my left eye . I can see clearly at a distance now . I would have rated 5 stars but it was a very long wait for the glasses to be ready

Being a long time patient of Dr.Winsett I decided to stick with it and try the new owners. I left my first appointment with two contacts in my right eye that no one noticed or caught. I made more than one trip trying out several different types of contact lenses, none of which I liked or worked for me. I do not feel like anyone listened to what I wanted or needed for my contacts. I finally just said give me a prescription and I'm done. Then I had to find another eye doctor to actually get what I needed. Will not be returning to this practice. I can say the office lady up front was great and seemed to be the nicest and most caring employee in the office.

Made an appointment here and gave them my insurance number the same day I made the appointment! They said they seen everything in the system so I thought everything would be fine however when I showed up for my appointment I was told they couldn't see me without physically seeing my insurance card (which I never received in the mail ) ! It would have been nice to have known this before wasting my time by going 45 minutes out of my way to a place that couldn't even see me even though they already had all the insurance info ! Thankfully I already had an appointment at graystone set up in a few months anyway

Got a pair of test contacts that took a month to deliver but when I wanted to order a 6 months worth of contacts it took almost 2 months to get them. They said "your right eye needs a special kind of contact that isn't made in the US." This doesn't make any sense because the last place I lived had no problem getting me those same kind of contacts (6 month supply) within a week and never lied to me and said like Vision First, "this a special kind of contact so it's gonna take a month to ship out and I don't know when's it going to be here because it's made outside the US." Not only was I wearing the same test contacts for 2 months but the price of these contacts were unusually high just because "they aren't made in the US." Like okay sureeeeeeee

My daughter broke her glasses beyond repair this morning and sadly we did not have a back-up. I called 4 other facilities and even explaining the situation, they were all unable to offer an appointment for 1 - 2 months. I was about to give up when I decided to call Winesett, not expecting anything. But I was wrong. The super nice lady who answered the phone, listened to my problem and managed to fit us in right away! Dr York, the technician, and the receptionist were all SO AMAZING and I am so grateful for their compassion in this emergency. After the appointment, we went right next door and chose frames that we LOVED and they were ready in about 5 hours. Just overwhelmed by the compassion of this office. We will be patients for life!

Great staff. Quick and friendly service. I usually plan to spend the day at an eye doctor. First visit- in and out in an hour! Doctor Winesett is awesome!! Many issues I've been told I had were disproven and a new diagnosis introduced. Can't wait for my new glasses to come in!! Couldn't be happier.

Had a new patient apt. Would have been about 10 minutes late due to work. Staff I spoke with on the phone very unfriendly and unforgiving. Doctor apparently has the same unfriendly characteristic. Refused to reschedule. I am not a disrespectful person. I do not miss appointments purposely. Would not recommend if you are expecting a friendly place.
