VISION FIRST OPTOMETRY ( PREV DR. WINSETT)OD

I was told Winesett no longer owns this practice. If I had known this I would have went somewhere else. This new group, in my opinion, is a eye mill. They rush you through, barely listen or don't listen at all, and tell you to wear the glasses for two weeks 'to adjust'. This eats away the one month grace period to get adjustments. And FYI, I have worn glasses for over 30 years, and this is the worst practice I've ever been to. I went in with one eye blurry, the other fine, and get a prescription that did make the blurred eye 70% better, but made the good eye that could see perfectly 30% worse. So overall nothing improved, in fact I would say it is worse because at least I could see fine out of one eye before going there. Now I know in less than a year I will have to go somewhere else to get another prescription because both eyes are slightly blurry.

I made an appointment for my 82 year old mother. She can be very challenging at times. I called ahead to ask if staff could be very patient with her. She was upset on the way to the appointment so I was concerned. Dr. Winesett and his staff were amazing, she was calm and thoroughly enjoyed her visit. I am so grateful and highly recommend them. We will definitely see them again.

Got a pair of test contacts that took a month to deliver but when I wanted to order a 6 months worth of contacts it took almost 2 months to get them. They said "your right eye needs a special kind of contact that isn't made in the US." This doesn't make any sense because the last place I lived had no problem getting me those same kind of contacts (6 month supply) within a week and never lied to me and said like Vision First, "this a special kind of contact so it's gonna take a month to ship out and I don't know when's it going to be here because it's made outside the US." Not only was I wearing the same test contacts for 2 months but the price of these contacts were unusually high just because "they aren't made in the US." Like okay sureeeeeeee

This is by far the Best place as far as I can Say From Smith Crossroads on hyw 321 is just not to Far .South 321 .

Dr Winesett is the best optometrist I've ever been to. He's very thorough, and honest. He explains things very clearly. If it's a situation he can't take care of, he knows exactly where to send you for the best care.

Best eye doctor experience ever! Every employee was extremely friendly and Dr. Winesett was phenomenal! He was professional, thorough and took his time ~ didn't rush through appointment to get to next patient. Highly recommend this office!!

You don't need AN optometrist. You need THIS optometrist. Aside from being incredibly kind and patient, he also has a great sense of humor. Definitely the best experience I've ever had. I will recommend this doctor to everyone.
