Took my daughter in for issues she was having. She is a cancer survivor, so we have to keep a close eye on her health. I told the Dr what she was experiencing, then she did an eye exam. Told us there was nothing wrong. I kept trying to explain that there was something really wrong, but she insisted she saw nothing. I left and called our old optometrist. Literally, in five minutes on the phone, she knew what was wrong. She put me on hold and set her up with a specialist in Raleigh. She has been seeing that specialist for three years now. When we first saw her, she said she didn't know how my daughter was functioning. She has a disconnect between her eyes and her brain. If I had not called and asked for a second opinion, I can't imagine how my daughter would be functioning right now. I was just amazed at the lack of concern. There was absolutely no regard for what we were telling the Dr.

Got an issue going on, and even though we can get glasses, sunglasses and at times even two pairs of regular glasses and a pair of sunglasses it's a shame to keep local business to the point of expense that is as it is here. I had to get lenses only, whereas if I went to chesapeake, I could get the whole enchilada for less money than lenses alone. It's not that I do not want to buy local, and I have no issues with people making a good margin on services and goods, but it's getting to the point that it's so expensive to live in this area, and greed overriding anything below, but if you cannot get to virginia, such is my case, paying extra, that's one thing, but to raise prices that are so out of line, it's rude,an insult, and just plain unethical. The materials used, here and virginia, are the same, so a 20% mark up bra a 200% mark up, come on no
