I visited Bath OD because I needed an urgent repair of my broken frame just before leaving on a trip. Their dedicated staff helped me to an address that could do an emergency repair and helped me order a new frame for the same glasses. After it arrived they put my old glasses in the new frame for free. Very client oriented and helpful place!

You may have read Dr. Bhat's response to my review, a standard canned reply rather than addressing the real issues of my many visits with him. If you are only in need of glasses or standard eye exam, then perhaps Dr. Bhat is the right fit for you, thus the other high ratings. However, if you have a serious eye problem, do NOT go to Dr. Bhat! He does not have the knowledge to address any major medical eye diseases! Again, I almost went blind because of his incompetence. Instead of doing the right thing and sending me to a qualified ophthalmologist, he kept taking my money. If you think I'm disgruntled, I am, but I'm not the only one who has received disgusting service from Dr. Bhat. Take a look at some of his review on Yelp, then you'll get the full picture! Please, don't roll the dice with your vision by seeing Dr. Bhat, you will regret it! Warning! Please do NOT go to this Optometrist! I went to Dr. Bhat of Union Family Eye Associates beginning in November 2019 after a visit to an Urgent Care. Believing I had a pink eye infection, I was told it was much more serious, my corneas were severely damaged from my dry eyes (I have Sjogren's Syndrome). Dr. Bhat reassured me that he could solve my problem. After many, many visits & expensive amniotic lenses, nothing changed! He kept putting in temporary contact lenses to help ease my extreme pain but NEVER fixed the root cause. At one point, a red flag that I should have heeded, he said he didn't know what else to do! Instead of recommending me to an ophthalmologist, he continued to convince me that he could help. My husband & I went to California, a long planned mini-vacation in January 2020, while still under Dr. Bhat's care. He was well aware of this trip & sent me with temporary contacts in place (disposal contacts that are worn 24 hours a day for 30 days in a row, never taken out for cleaning). I was reassured these contacts would be fine for my trip. I ended up in the UCLA Emergency Room, almost blinded and in unbearable pain from wearing these contacts without the proper antibiotic eye drops! All three ophthalmologists I saw in CA were astonished Dr.Bhat did not prescribe antibiotic drops to use to prevent infection!! Dr. Bhat did give me antibiotic eye drops during the first use of temporary lenses but quickly took me off of them saying they weren't doing any good. Bottom line is Dr. Bhat is completely incompetent, misleading & should not be trusted. If you want professional & knowledgeable care of your eyes, do NOT go to Dr. Bhat!

Dr. Bhat and his staff are always professional, courteous, and efficient. My appointments are always on time and go smoothly. The office staff is great about finding the best deal and helping with insurance. They continue to help me outside of regular checkups with prescription information, especially during this pandemic. It's a great office space, too!

I have a been a patient of Dr. Bhat for several years, and I always get consistently great experiences at each visit. He is very knowledgeable, and he explains things in a way that you can understand, and spends enough time so I can ask questions so that I understand my vision status and needs. His demeanor is friendly and professional, which is also a quality in his team. His staff has been there for a while, and they are always professional, helpful, and caring also. The office is very nicely decorated, modern, and clean. If you are looking for an office that treats you as an honored guest as each visit, then this is a great fit!

Dr Bhat and his team are so highly skilled in adult and child exams and eyewear. He made our daughter feel so confident in needing glasses that we can not thank him enough and his staff was so patient in letting her try on EVERY. FRAME. IN. THE. STORE! Seriously - kids and adults frames until she found the right one! Can't recommend this whole office enough!

I can't say enough good things about this office or the staff. Everyone wants a doctor that wants to help and understand issues you're having. This doctor went above and beyond today. His staff is kind and warm, eager to help and he himself will spend as much time as needed to help and understand your issues. If you need a good eye doctor, please look no further. He is wonderful.

Dr. Bhat & entire staff was very friendly and accommodating to my needs. Start of the art exam equipment followed by a thorough eye exam. Dr. Bhat explained my results and answered all questions I asked. Had to order Rx sunglass lenses for my current frames. Will have them back in a week. Great service and highly recommend this practice!

It has been years since I've been to the eye doctor and I am so glad I found Dr. Bhat!! He and his staff are amazing!! From the eye exam to picking out a pair of glasses. Everyone was so nice and helpful!!
