Had a great experience at this office today. Dr. Mebane was very patient, in depth, and explained things well. He was open to answer questions and down to earth. He helped me get new glasses ordered and contacts to try. Appreciated the help from the office staff as well! Everyone was very friendly and welcoming as a new patient.

Being a new patient can be stressful. I relaxed immediately when I walked into this homey office. Dr. Mebane and his staff are very pleasant and made me feel very comfortable. They have a nice selection of glasses to choose from and I got mine in less than 10 days. I highly recommend this doctor.

Dr Mebane is so accommodating and easy to deal with. The entire staff is really incredible and truly care about their patients and giving them a great experience. Thanks for always going the extra mile for us!

Every visit has been a wonderful one for me and my kids. Doctor is very nice and is very helpful to your needs and so are the staff. I recommend Dr. Mebane if anyone is looking for a good eye doctor.

I travel 2.5 hours to have eye care provided by Dr. Mebane. I have been going to his practice since it was Dr. Gaylord's practice. I was 8 years old...far from that now! Dr Mebane is very focused...never rushed. You are his only concern when in his office. Atmosphere is extremely calm. Beautiful, very old, terrarium in the office is the focal point. The staff are wonderful as well. Dr. Mebane took care of my 95 year old mother discovering she had macular degeneration. He directed her to Duke immediately. After her completion of treatments she returned to care of Dr. MAfter relocating 3 years ago. I went to a "big box office" eye center. Wait time over one hour. Very quickly examined my eyes, no conversation. I learned after have the "eye health" diagnosed, that I would have to return for the "sight acuity" test. Dr. Mebane does the COMPLETE eye exam at one visit. Wonderful practice!

I paid a lot for glasses that I can't see out of. Also put out by the lackluster service, but as that seems to be normal for this area I'm sure there's not better.

First visit and I'm glad I went!!! Dr Tom Membane and his staff were awesome.... I called last minute because other vision center no longer accepted my insurance. Dr Membane was able to see me a few hours later....Dr. Membane was very efficient and answered all of my questions. Most importantly he took my insurance....
