Dr is great but the front desk staff member is not! I've been going there for 5+ years and decided to purchases frames from them for the first time and was treated disrespectfully three different times when explaining my inability to see correctly with the new frames. I felt compelled to go to MyEyeDr and LenseCrafters to get the prescription validated and frames adjusted, thus I do not recommend buying frames from them as they are not professionally trained to correct frame errors or slight variations that come with a stigmatization. The Dr and techs have been great, but I will not return because of this experience.

I have been a patient of Dr. Dickman's for several years. Today I experienced an eye emergency and was told that they could not see me until next week - go to the ER. I felt abandoned. If you want prompt, compassionate care ... look elsewhere.

This is currently the ONLY place to take Healthy Blue NC that is anywhere near me! I was so thankful to find them. The staff is so friendly and the op-tech was above and beyond in every way. Dr. Dickman is thorough and you can tell he knows his stuff, just don't ask him for your pupillary distance. He went on a bit of a tirade when I mentioned it and continued even after I said, "okay, that's fine. Okay" a few times. But it's still worth going here because despite his less than stellar bedside manner, he knows what he's doing and the rest of the people working there more than make up for it.

If a 10 star was available, Dr. Dickman and team deserve it. He was able to detect, and is monitoring, a condition in my eyes that other professionals failed to. Given the requisite interaction between Dr. Dickman and my internal medicine doctor, she is seeking his eye care as her opthomalagist retires!

I had a year appointment a few weeks ago, the medical staff was great. But one of their staff members made a mistake with my appointment date that made me ineligible for coverage. After an interaction with a staff member, billing department, and a review that I posted here, it got the attention of management. The next day, I got a phone call from Matt (the office manager) and a received a letter from Dr. Dickman. Both of them apologized and recognize their mistake. Even though they were not able to do anything about the insurance decision, Dr. Dickman offered to write off the charge of my visit. I really appreciate they were willing to correct the situation.

Best eye doctor and staff. I'd been going to the large local chains for my eyecare since there seems to be some kind of industry consolidation occurring. Dr. Dickman's office is a much more personal and knowledgeable experience. Dr. Dickman is a brilliant ophthalmologist and his staff will ensure that you are satisfied, even helping a picky person like me find rare frames. I prefer to have good relationships with my medical caregivers, and Dr. Dickman explains treatment options very well. I asked him a question on how lenses work and he lent me a book on optics. Great doctor, great office.

I told these people I just had a heart attack in December & the kept calling me all a.m. to get my insurance information which they had in October. The person taking care of me wasn't up at 8 a.m. when they called. I told them that. After hanging up on two rude & racist women. I called in later & gave my insurance information. Only to get a call four hours later with them canceling my appointment & saying I was rude to their ppl. Im so sorry I had a heart attack & couldn't get my insurance information & asked you all to wait til my care giver was awake!

I'm 62 and throughout my lifetime I've had many surgeries on both eyes. I moved to this area a year ago and was very anxious with respect to finding a new opthalmologist. I was very pleased with Dr. Dickman and his staff. He definitely put me at ease with his knowledge & his compassion for my situation .
