Vision Square Eyecare

I have been been going to vision Square since I was 12 years old. I remember when Dr. Moshures was the only provider in the office, a small office in the center of town off Main Street. I must be careful, otherwise I will share my age. It is great to see him in the office and still seeing patients time and again. I know that when I go to Vision Square, my eye care is in good hands.

In the Shallot location many are just plain rude. The woman who checks you in downright rude and the person who would go onto fit you with glasses was not friendly or warm. I Went to this place because I believe the Vision square in Southport is changing ownership. They have the friendliest people over there, and they're very nice to work with. I will be staying with the Southport office because they probably will keep the same staff. This place is disgraceful. needless to say, they lost my lifelong business. I'll persuade my wife to not use them as well. Try calling the Shalotte location, they probably won't even pick up the phone. If you leave a message, they won't even call back

Had an appointment for annual examine for 10AM on 1/15/26. Was informed by clerk that they had tried to reach me in August to reschedule however that is not true. Never received a call and had they been unable to reach me they could have Emailed or used regular mail. Employee showed no empathy and I was treated as just another upset customer. They are so busy they could care less about one customer whose appointment apparently "fell through the cracks"

The eye care is first-rate- thorough& professional, including those who see you before you see the doc...but here's the best of Vision Square: they have the best assortment of eyeglass frames by far! Their selection is diverse and well, eye popping! See Christine and she'll give you a wide variety to choose from and nothing like the pedestrian selections you find everywhere else.

I've never experienced such disorganization from a medical office. VisionSquare canceled my October appointment (that was made a year in advance) back in July but never left a voicemail. When they called me in August, I was told my doctor had moved to the further location an hour away, but they promised to call if cancellations opened and assured me they'd extend my contact lens prescription if needed. Months later when I called to extend my prescription, I was told the next available appointment near me isn't until October 2026. My prescription is now expired, and they refuse to renew it unless I drive to the far location in December--and even then, I'm forced to buy a 90-day supply directly from them and pick it up in person. VisionSquare's lack of communication, follow-through, and basic consideration for patients is unacceptable. This experience has completely destroyed my trust. Find an eye care provider that values your time and keeps their word--because this office certainly does not.

The Vision Square Eyecare located at 208 Smith St in the big town of Shallotte NC, is just like the other locations I have been to over the years. Just like the Southport office and Calabash office, The Shallotte office promotes the same caring culture as found in the other offices. Wonderful caring doctors supported by delightful staff makes each visit a pleasant experience. The attention to detail in the examination along with getting the best vision for your eyes makes Vision Square Eyecare the best. The attention to detail is also included in getting quality made glasses or just getting new lenses they make sure you leave happy with your purchase. My wife wears contact lenses and they always make sure she is happy with what was delivered to her each time. Don't change a thing.

We had exceptional service! Marcella, Dr. Moshoures, Kristin and Alesha were great help in getting a new pair of glasses after losing them in the ocean while on vacation. They were fast, friendly and did everything they could to make our experience not so stressful! Will return in the future for all our vision needs!

I wish I could write a good review but my experience has been less than stellar. Friendly folks but after 4 attempts, they just can't seem to make me a pair of glasses that work. They also don't return calls for messages left. I'm out over $800 for 2 pairs of glasses that I can't use. I've never had this issue before at other eye doctors.
