America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses

***Had to update my review. The score is still 1 star. Luckh I cant choose no stars. The experience continued to get worse days later*** 1st experience-Giant sign on the wall showing that they accept my insurance. Has on website that they accept my insurance and did in fact not accept my insurance and they proceeded to wait till checkout to tell me they didnt accept it. Should have been one of the first things they checked. Even pointed to the sign and asked why it said it accepted my plan if they dont. She said they havent changed the signed. Not to mention you dont see a doctor in person. Its all through a tv. The wait to get my exam was an hour after my scheduled time. Once in the room, you wait in que with a tv screen for an additional 20 minutes waiting for an available doctor to take the appointment. Thought it was odd but whatever. 2nd experience- I ended up ordering my contacts through 1-800 contacts using the prescription provided by Americas Best. Did over night shipping so i got them fast. I immediately noticed the prescription was off when I put them in. I somehow was lucky enough to get a next day appointment with another eye doctors office. Turns out my prescription was off by .50 in each eye. Now I have to return the contacts i just purched. Dont waste your time going here because they clearly have zero problems wasting my time and money.

In her behalf, the owner is trying. But, There is no actual eye Doctor here. They are understaffed, you will wait longer then you like. My eye exam consisted of a college biology student doing all the testing and then Seeing a doctor on a TV for about 5 minutes and having him tell me my vision was 20/20, which was wrong. (I came in because I was having to lift my current glasses up to read through the bottom of the bifocal portion). That vist took almost 3 hours My pick-up involved more extended waiting because they still have short staffed.

Unfortunately this location could use a little TLC. Products and some of staff definitely could stand some polishing. Though the glasses didn't work for me I would definitely like to highlight Nortosa for her professionalism and empathy. Your great customer service will go a long way. The GM, I think her name is Cindy. She also tries to accommodate which means alot.

There's no actual doctor, which I was not made aware of until I was already in the preexam room. The lady at the front desk was completely rude. But my main complaint, they COMPLETELY messed up my prescription. My glasses finally came in, and I can't even wear them. They did not take the time to ask me what was wrong with my current prescription and they rushed through the exam. That's now $90 on a pair of glasses I can't even wear. $90 down the drain.

I used this place because they had same day appointments. You get what you pay for. The prescription is way off. In fact, there is zero difference with the glasses on or off. I tried getting a set of glasses elsewhere and found out there's a part of my prescription missing on the form. Not to mention, many unhappy costumers in the store while I was there and the staff was very unprofessional. If you need an accurate prescription DO NOT come here!

My experience was made better today by my tech Bridget, she was very kind even when having to deal with hard to deal with customers because of the little longer wait times, at one point a customer got extremely aggressive with her actions and Bridget handled it the best she could, I feel like the other employees weren't sure what was going on but I was in the room the entire time, Bridget handled herself very Professionally and did the absolute best that she could. The store manager Cindy was very open to listening to my concerns on the matter.

Don't come here! They are understaffed and you will wait hours, even with an appointment! There's not even an eye doctor in the building, it's a virtual doctor. Also, they took a WALK IN before me when I had a scheduled appointment and had been waiting for 2 hours! They had the nerve to say "the walk in was here earlier". It doesn't matter, you're already behind with your appointments and the walk ins should be asked to come back! Simple!

I don't recommend it. The exam is virtual, meaning the doctor isn't there in person; she sees you through a screen. They always do the exam wrong and ask you to come back. Why don't they just repeat it the same day? The glasses, which cost over $300, are very poor quality and useless to me. They're made of plastic and only fog up. I'm still using the old ones I bought four years ago from another place because they still work better than these.
