I had a great experience here! I had my contact lens appt at the optometrist and she took her time w me to try several different contacts. It was the 1st true contact lens fitting I've had and I've been wearing contacts for over 30 yrs! Next up.. went next door for glasses. I had such a great experience there too! Sue (or Susan) patiently helped me pick out the most awesome Oscar frames. I got the works since they were acquired by VSP and that's my insurance. I got a great deal on some stellar frames, progressive and transitions lenses. Super happy!

Pleasant smooth friendly professional no nonsense no BS just a lovely experience actually very hard to find nowadays.

My college aged son recently had an appointment there and was driving in from about an hour away. This was his first medical appointment as a legal adult, and he had a terrible experience. They called to say the doctor was not feeling well and had to cancel about an hour before the appointment. We were then able to reschedule for the following week. I had called ahead to say what the medical issue was that he needed to discuss and to give my flex spending card for payment. The staff member was kind and said she made a note for the doctor. When my son came in, he was immediately discriminated against based on his appearance by staff and then also by the doctor. His concern was dismissed and the doctor made unprofessional comments to my son about how he needs to change his appearance in order to be more presentable to society. I called to speak to the doctor and he interrupted me many times and dismissed my concerns and tried to deflect what had happened, without taking any accountability. They also did not give my son his glasses prescription and I had to call for that. Needless to say, I have submitted a complaint to the NC medical board for this illegal discrimination.

My mom had glasses made in CT right before she came down to NC for the winter that she was struggling to see with. We made an appointment with Dr Carolyn Bryan to help figure out what to do to help her. Dr Bryan was kind and very patient and caring. She helped figure out a couple of issues. We went next door to Eyemart express and they made glasses for my mom in an hour. The staff at both offices was kind and caring. The Eyemart express staff stayed to complete her glasses even though it was starting to snow because they wanted to help. All around talented and caring people at both Carolina Vision Associates and Eyemart Express. I have an eye care background and was impressed with this office. Thank you Dr. Bryan!

I called for an appointment to get a first time contacts prescription. I got to the appointment and they complained that I had a late appointment for it being my first time wearing contacts (they chose the time and knew it was my first time) After the exam, I was trying to put on the contacts, the staff kept looking at their watch and shutting off lights. I had trouble putting my contacts in (probably because I felt rushed) so they said they could not provide me with a prescription but I would need to pay for the next visit today so I could come back and try again. I explained that I don't know when I would have another time to come back since I just started a new job. I asked if I could just pay for the eye exam and not the contacts so I could reevaluate my decision to get contacts. She said that I would have to pay for the trial lense as well as my next appointment which is ridiculous. I will be working with my insurance company to get my benefits/money refunded for this horrible experience. ***Update: my prescription for contacts was Xed out. I did not receive my contacts prescription. I only wanted a fitting, I did not want to purchase contacts right now, but for some reason I was charged. My insurance states: contacts Lens fitting: once per year. However I was charged $125. Is this because your trying to sell me contacts yourself?

Always super fast and chill experience. So convenient with the eye mart connected too! Love it :)

Dr. Bryan was SO friendly and knowledgeable! She is the best. The staff were accommodating and my visit was efficient, yet thorough. Would highly recommend!

I have been to this eye doctor a couple times and each time I wondered why I continue to go here. The customer service is not pleasant. The atmosphere does not feel welcoming. I had an emergency to need a prescription for glasses and which I understood could not be filled. I called back to see if I could come in for a walk in and the front desk receptionist did not explain it well then when I continued to ask questions about when to come in she acted like this was something I'm suppose to know. I usually go to this place considering how excellent the service is next door at Eye Mart but I think I will discontinue.
