Dr. Leone is smart, caring, and engaged in the care she provided for my cataract surgery. I highly recommend her. Like seriously A+ - don't hesitate to get that cataract surgery. Loved her. The unfortunate part of my experience was getting past the gatekeepers in reception at Wilmington Eye. A few months after my surgery I attempted 2x to reach Dr Leone. I was told she doesn't see her surgical patients post surgery and they sent me back to my optometrist. Another 3 months passed before I could get in with my preferred optometrist - I have some tricky eye issues. In the meantime my symptoms worsened. I was miserable and losing my independence driving. I'm 57. Thanks to Reddit and ChatGPT and determination, I finally self diagnosed myself and learned the correct language to advocate for myself at Wilmington Eye - once I used the terms capsulatonomy and YAG laser to reception - I had instant access to Dr Leone!!! And saw her one week later. After one full year of not being able to drive at night - a simple, painless office procedure resulted in me driving down Market Street the next night. Dr. Leone seemed sincerely saddened by my inability to get to her to correct my vision with YAG laser sooner.

Dr. Kathleen Leone is wonderful. She makes you feel comfortable and really cares about the outcome of your surgery. I would recommend her to anyone who needs the best eye care possible.

Dr. Leone and her staff as well as the Wilmington Surgery Center as stellar. My cataract surgery went flawlessly and now 1 week after the second eye my sight continues to improve. Looking forward to the final results as being able to see "bright/white and clear" is amazing. Highly recommend Wilmington Eye for all eye care.

Dr. Leone and her staff are so kind and caring, knowledgeable and very informative. I felt that I knew exactly what the problem is with my eyes and what the plan is going forward. I always feel good when I leave there even if the news wasn't great.

Quick and painless until I got home and was in excruciating pain, intense burning and stinging for 6 hours straight. Tylenol PM did nothing. Pain eventually went away by the next morning completely and now I can see! Procedure and exams leading up to were smooth and informational.
