I had an appointment at the Monkey Junction location today and I was truly impressed by the kindness and professionalism I experienced here, as well as the very high quality eye exam. Every question I had was answered with patience, and I never felt rushed. The combination of excellent service, great pricing, and genuine care is outstanding. Special thanks to Dr. Van and the receptionist Laura--they both went more than above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and listened to. It was very clear they truly had my best interest at heart. I'll definitely be returning, and I highly recommend Jackson Eye Associates if you're looking for a great eye exam at a great price! Thank you both again!

I feel that an adequate exam was not performed by this facility. My experience : On May 25, I experienced sharp pains and blurred vision for 20 minutes. It had been a couple of years since my last exam, therefore, I scheduled an eye exam at the Yopp Rd center and was seen on 6/19/2025. (This was not the same optometrist who was there before.) The young girl was having difficulty getting adequate pictures of my eyes. Upon seeing the Dr., I explained the experience I spoke of previously, to which he stated if it happened again to contact my primary Dr. He preceded to do the eye exam, and stated that my eyes have not changed much since my last examination (2 years ago). I was aware of cataracts developing from my previous appt with a different optometrist, however, there was no mention of the cataracts in this exam on 6/19/2025. I received my new prescription on 6/24/2025, and I continued to have difficulties with my vision not being clear, even with the new prescription. After a knot developed on the temporal artery, I went to my Primary Dr. as suggested by the optometrist, she was concerned that I may have a condition known as Giant Cell Arteritis, and prescribed me prednisone and referred me to Wilmington Eye. 8/8/2025, I was given a thorough exam, several scans before and after my eyes were dilated, it was determined that I need to have cataract surgery on both eyes. The good news is that the prednisone is working at keeping the optic nerve from swelling, the bad news, I need to have cataract surgery in both eyes. I now have new prescription glasses that will no longer be needed after my surgery is completed. If anytime you have an examination and continue to experience problems, please get a second opinion. Funny ain't funny , it's meant for this place. Person in the front desk. She need to be fired her unprofessionalism beyond imagine.I called before go and she said (we can take you in as a walk-in if you came in here before 12 ).I was there 11:15 AM Waited for 3 hours. He took in two person before us while we are waiting in the waiting area .We said OK maybe they were appointments and then they took us in a room while we're waiting in a room they took another 3 person on another room ( one after other ) it seems like our turn never comes around. after three hours later we have to walk out of there because I had a hip surgery. I couldn't seat on that uncomfortable chair no more. stay away from this place as long as it doesn't change the person who works on the desk because she stopped the doctor to come in our room while he grabbed the folder to come in the room, she stopped him and told him go in the other room to taking care of another person. This is just horrible experience, especially person in my condition. Go spend your money and time somewhere else. If they tell me, I have to wait for five hours I would've said no thanks making me an appointment and I'll come back some other time instead of making me wait 3 hours to just ignore me with my surgery while I have my crouch right next to me.

Excellent experience. As a new patient I felt like Dr. Jackson took time listening to my concerns and the reason for my visit. He clearly conveyed technical information in a manner I could easily understand and made me feel comfortable throughout the exam. His staff was very friendly and efficient as well. I would certainly recommend him to others.

I went for an eye exam and contact lens fitting today at the Carolina Beach Road location in Wilmington today. Dr. Hendrix was great, as well as the staff. They were right on time with appointment and I feel that I received the best exam in years. I will definitely be going back for next exam and would highly recommend them if you are looking for a an eye doctor.

Doctors are great but front desk staff lazy and bored....would not call to check on my insurance even they had nothing elseo do..will not go back.

I was seen in a timely manner but when the doctor was done examining my eyes with the lens machine, I tried to tell her that I was still seeing a little double and a little blurry. I was then told that that was the machine which I knew it wasn't because I've been through this before. I'm not very happy. With the new prescription of glasses, I was as expecting to be able to SEE! It's pretty sad that I see just about the same blurriness without them on! Try listening to your patients next time please! Edit (8/10/2022) I'm sorry it took me over 5 years to edit my review lol. But yes, my eyes were rechecked and my prescription was adjusted with no issue and I greatly appreciate that! And I still have the prescription sunglasses too Again, I apologize for taking so long to edit this. I honestly didn't even know you posted a reply until I left a review for a furniture company for the state I live in now. Hope all is well with y'all down there

Very pleased with our visit and exam. We were greeted and everything was explained. A young lady who first worked with us was pleasant and when Dr. Jon worked with us he answered all our questions during the eye exam in a way we could understand and went into great detail to make sure all our questions were answered. The cost was very economical and the exam was professional and thorough.
