Dr. DuBois, Dr. Koeppe, and the entire team at Pearle Vision in Fargo are outstanding. I had a very disappointing experience with Pearl Vision. Initially, I was told that both my lenses and frames would be fully covered by my insurance. Based on that, they processed everything and charged me for the glasses. I received my lenses two weeks later.
Then, out of nowhere, I received an email in December saying I had an outstanding balance. When I called to ask about it, they told me my insurance didn't cover the glasses after all. I asked why I was told otherwise in the beginning, and they simply said, "We don't know." Apparently, it showed as covered at first, but later it didn't.
What's worse is that they never informed me when they found out the insurance wouldn't cover it. If they had told me earlier, I could have returned the glasses. I didn't receive any communication until December, and by then, they were threatening to send my account to collections if I didn't pay.
I ended up paying the balance in monthly installments just to avoid further issues, but I will never go back to this company again. I would not recommend Pearl Vision to anyone.
This review is to create awareness and help others be cautious when dealing with this company.

The doctors I have had appointments with have been very courteous, knowledgeable, and generally great. Unfortunately, my experience with the other staff has not been as great. Customer service is lacking at this location. Wait times are always long in the lobby. I was given store brand contacts, which is fine, but I wasn't informed of this while I was in the store. After leaving, I realized my contacts were different than the trials I received which left me confused. After talking to Lisa, I felt very unheard and honestly her responses to my thoughts were very condescending. I left a message trying to explain that the trials look different than what I got and she responded with emails (instead of returning the call) with my prescription instead of hearing me out. After this I responded to her email with my thoughts again-with no response. I now understand that they are the same thing but her responses made me feel small and unheard. She didn't once say anything about understanding my perspective or apologizing. A small problem turned into a communication disaster and I hesitate to return here in the future.

Today I came to pick up my new glasses. I was sad to be saying goodbye to my old frames but then Phil pulled out my new glasses and he told me that they looked great. He proceeded to adjust the frames. He got them perfect, absolutely perfect, in the first try. I have a small nose and he completely understood how tight, but not too tight, around the ears I needed. I was in and out in only 10 minutes! Next time I go I'm going to ask for Phil again. He was so great to work with!!!

I scratched my lenses. So needed to get new ones. They called and said to bring in my frames. So I did the next day. They said 45 minutes. 1 1/2 hours later. They finally said oh we sent your lenses back. I asked how long!! It will around 3-4 weeks before they come back. Been waiting over 2 weeks this time!! No call no nothing. I live 45 minutes away. So disappointed. They didn't even apologize. We have been coming here for years. I think it's time to go some where else.

They were patient, our doctors helped educate us on our eye health and what to expect or look out for for our baby. Picking out glasses I had help and good recommendations from a staff member, and they explained everything while we worked through options for the lenses. Very thorough, pleasant, and overall great experience :)
