Lifetime Vision Center

We like the doctors there but people out of town be aware that their service and support is very limited. We picked up brand new glasses and in less than a week one of the screws fell out. We called and they couldn't help as they don't know what screw it was. Didn't even tried to help. Long way to drive for a 15ct screw.

I have been going to lifetime for YEARS and they never disappoint! I'm always greeted with a warm welcome! I started seeing Dr. Torkelson for almost 20 years ago! She is hands down the best eye doctor we have seen! My son hates any type of doctors/eye doctors/dentist, you name it but when it came to seeing Dr. Torkelson, she explained everything to him and she was very patient with him! My whole family sees them! So respectful and so kind!! Best eye doctor in town!!

Friendly staff and specialists. I'm from out of town and I couldn't believe the response and attention to detail from the lifetime vision team. My technician Kolton, was very friendly and professional. He took a keen personal interest beyond the scope of the job. Even out of town, I make an effort to use lifetime vision grand forks as my vision center!

I can't say enough about Lifetime Vision. I, too, was a patient of Dr. Yunkers while he was at Walmart and Melissa (a fun gal) was at the desk. My husband I were his patients and I believe all six of our children were too! He is the absolute best in his field and he will be greatly missed by so many! He is always so kind and knowledgeable and trustworthy! You have earned a well deserved retirement but at the same time selfishly I wished you would stay! Enjoy your retirement and thank you for being the best.......you are going to be missed!

Had an awesome experience with Jenna, at this place. She was courteous, knowledgeable and made sure I had what I needed. She gave great advice on style and wearability. Very pleased! They are lucky to have her! Thank you!

Gave me multiple incorrect quotes on what my appointment would cost. First I was told $106, then $180, and then $106 again. The day of my appointment they wanted to charge me north of $200 which was not anywhere near what I had been quoted over the phone. Upon arrival I was told that I have to get an additional $45 scan done and I didn't have a choice as they require it. I paid $75 via debit, and the rest in cash. They sent me a bill asking me for another $261. Definitely multiple inconsistencies with billing so make sure you get an itemized quote and keep track of what you've paid them. This isn't the first time I've had this issue. The billing manager called me yesterday told me "nobody in this office told you $106" insinuating that I just made that number up on my own. When I tried to explain things she was very accusatory stating that none of this ever occurred. I point blank asked her if I need to start recording phone calls in the future. Years ago this place had a great reputation for customer service. Now it's they do no wrong and any discrepancies aren't their fault. I even explained the day of the appointment after what I had paid I was given a sticky note stating I had $84 left to pay. I again was told that this didn't occur even though I literally had the pink sticky note in hand. I've went to one other place a couple years back in fargo they gave me an exact quote over the phone for my appointment cost, and there were zero surprise expenses the day of my appointment. I definitely had a very different experience with staff at this other place. Outside of this my optometrist and the tech that did the scans here is/was great and thorough.

Gone here for years and have never had issues. Scheduled an appointment took the day off to find they scheduled a different day and I missed it. Assumed it was my fault; I didn't check the date on the confirmation text. Pay their "fine" and verbally agree to another day after checking my work schedule. They scheduled a different day and I miss it again.

Fantastic vision center with an excellent manager. The office is well run, the staff is friendly, and the patient experience is always top-notch. Highly recommend!
