The transparency here is very poor, and so is the overall credibility. The attitude I encountered was derogatory, demeaning, mocking, condescending, rude, and at times outright hostile -- unless you follow "suggestions"... which feel more like orders based on whatever customer profile they decide you fit into. You're not really supposed to ask questions; you're expected to purchase what you're told, as quickly as possible. If you ask for details about your eyesight or the products, the response quickly becomes confrontational, as if you were expected to know information that is very clearly being gatekept. It genuinely made me regret giving them any personal information at all. When you ask for clarification, you're essentially told you'll get that after you come back to make a purchase. The whole experience feels like if telemarketers opened a physical store -- the same pushy, opaque sales tactics and the same unsettling sense that this is not how professionals with good customer relations conduct themselves. Explanations are delivered in a selective, sales-driven way -- enough to push a purchase, but not enough to give real understanding of options. I also notice other reviews describing similar encounters with certain staff members. I would strongly advise anyone with older parents or vulnerable family members to accompany them, to ensure they get what they want and not what someone on the staff wants to push onto them.

Bought 3 pairs of glasses at the Henrik Ibsens gata shop a few years back. Then a few days ago, I accidentally fell slept on one of them. The Henrik Ibsens gata shop was closed for refurbishment, so I came here to get my bended glasses fixed. The girl in the shop who received me was very nice and helpful. Fixed the glasses with extreme care and patience. I have a prescription with very high degrees and therefore very sensitive with even the smallest changes with the angles. Had to drop by the shop again today to get further adjustments, and she did it with no complaints and full understanding. I was busy testing out the glasses and it was stupid of me to have forgotten to ask her name. I hope the shop manager could take notice of this and at least give her an oral commendation. Truly professional staff and very pleasant experience. I will definitely recommend the shop and Specsaver to all my friends.

These guys repaired my damaged glasses and made them like new..replacing one of the metal parts even -and then didn't charge any money for the repair. I couldn't believe it! I didn't buy the glasses from them originally. I am eternally grateful.
