Don't be fooled by all the positive reviews on Google. One thing I truly regret in my life is that I chose to go to this clinic for dry eyes last year. I googled best doctors for dry eyes in Oslo then saw this clinic has best reviews. I then booked an appointment here and after the examination by the doctor who is also the owner of this clinic, he suggested that I should get their IPL treatment for my dry eyes. The receptionist immediately urged me to book first treatment on the same day it was the evening. I went to the treatment but surprised it was a student who was on internship who carried out the treatment for me. A bit uneased but i didn't doubt too much. The receptionist urged me to get 4 treatments at least then come back to the doctor for review. So they booked me 4 treatments with only 2 weeks in between each treatment while in other hospitals they suggest longer period in between each treatment. The second treatment was carried out by a more senior person. So I was more relaxed. However, the third treatment was carried out by a young girl who told me she has been doing this procedure for only few weeks and she was working in this clinic temporarily. During the procedure after she put on the heat mask around my eyes she went out of the room and said will be back in few minutes. I was left alone when the heat mask was on my eyes. Suddenly the mask was getting too hot and my right eye felt uncomfortable also painful but I didn't know what to do. I called loudly but no body heard me. I was scared but didn't dare to take off the mask. Later when she squeezed my eyelids it was painful. She was not skillful and not professional. You should never leave your patient alone when the procedure is ongoing because any accident can happen. For the last treatment I insisted I wanted to get treatment done by the same person who gave me my second treatment since I felt he was more professional, however they sent a different young guy to do the treatment for me and this time my right eye was hurting a lot during the treatment and this young guy squeezed my eyelids really hard that I had to complain to him. But he didn't seem to think it was anything serious. I went back to the doctor for examination. The pre checks on my eyes was done by a different guy this time. My impression is that everyone who works in this clinic (except for the receptionist and the doctor) is working only part time or temporarily as it is always a different person each time who gave me treatment or examination. The treatment didn't make my dry eyes any better but caused my eyes to get red. The worst is that after a few weeks I started to notice some dark spots flying and moving in front of my right eye. I went to an eye disease specialized hospital in my home country as I got really concerned about potential damage in my eyes from the IPL treatments given the experience with those treatments and the current condition. After the examination, the doctor said this condition I have developed is not curable. There is no way to remove those dark spots I see that flying in front of my right eye. Up until now its 8 months since the IPL treatments from this clinic, the dark spots flying in front of my right eye is still persistent. It is very unpleasant and upsetting. Whenever I think about my eyes and this clinic, I get really upset and wish I never went there. I did some more research on IPL treatments after thid experience and found some sources suggest that the effectiveness of IPL treatment is not proven by large and the safety is unknown. I wish I did more research on this treatment before I natively believed in this clinic. But now living with regret for the rest of my life. Only hope my eyes will be ok. And after this experience, I know I should never trust all positive reviews written by people on the internet because you never know if they were being paid.

Dr. Utheim has been recomended to me by three physicians separately, so that was a promising start. I was impressed by his knowledge and communication skills already at the first visit, but kept my expectations low as of what to expect from the treatment. Dr. Utheim was honest to tell me there were no guarantees and has further impressed me not only with his vast knowledge and sense of humour, but also - after so many years in service - with maintaining genuine interest in his field, curiosity for the patient and being the engine behind important research activities. One can rarely see such professional passion and devotedness combined with a good connection and sense for people. The staff that treated me was professional, engaged and empathic. You can trust them that they will call you back if the line is busy - the receptionist is nice to talk, too, and has offered good and supportive advice. Dr. Utheim shows no hesitation to listen and (!) learn from his patiens, knowing they posses the practical knowledge in facing their condition that could potentially benefit other patients. He is on a lookout to improve his practice in every way possible. Unfortunately, our encounters were limited in time, but I could have talked to him for hours!

Jeg ble diagnostisert med MGD (meibomsk kjerteldysfunksjon), grad 3 i februar 2023. Jeg hadde ikke klart a takle denne kroniske, autoimmune betennelsessykdommen uten den profesjonelle hjelpen jeg har fatt og far fra Torreoyneklikikken. En spesiell takk til oyelege Fredrik Finneide. Synd at det ikke er offentlig stotte som kan sikre at alle som trenger god, profesjonell hjelp for a takle denne smertefulle og livsendrende sykdommen far det.

Etter a ha slitt i flere maneder med torre oyne, allergi, betennelse og eksem, ble Torreoyneklinikken redningen. Fastlegen hadde ikke flere rad a gi etter a ha forsokt mye forskjellig uten bedring. Ble mott pa Torreoyneklinikken av bade hyggelige og svaert profesjonelle folk hele veien. Dr Fineide var svaert profesjonell og tydelig i sin anbefaling av behandling. Allerede etter 3 mndr har jwg nesten ingen plager og skryter av denne klinikken til alle. Takk for dere!

Torreoyneklinikken ble et nytt bekjentskap for ett ar siden. Det har vaert et svaert positivt bekjentskap: Mott av vennlighet, dedikasjon og hoy faglighet! Svaert grundige malinger, ga bade relevant informasjon om hvor darlig det egentlig stod til, og ga underveis klare indikatorer i forhold til utvikling og behandling. Deres IPL lysbehandling har vaert svaert nodvendig i en krevende tid. Betryggende med deres langvarige kompetanse bade i forhold til sa kraftig apparatur og det handverk "massasjen" faktisk innbaerer. At de na ogsa har etablert seg i Bergen reduserer bade tid og reisekostnader for alle oss pa denne kanten! Anbefales uten forbehold!
