1st Time visit 02/28/2025
Easy to find location staff very nice and helpful for me and my sibling coming in together great service and respectful timing process was in and out with all good news.
Doctor was on point with knowledge of everything with my exam that I expected and more was confirmed. Selection of glasses was very close to what I was looking for to my liking status can't wait to get them in 2weeks. I would recommend this location and I will return again.

We had Dr. Alex Jones. I took my 12 year old daughter and my 6 year old son in for eye exams and glasses today. All the staff was wonderful! From front desk to the techs and Dr.! They were all very patient as well especially with my son who is 6 and full of energy! The business is clean and very nice inside and they have a great selection of glasses. This is where I'll continue to bring my kids for eye exams and where I'll be going when I have time for my eye exam as well! I couldnt be more happy!
TERRIBLE they have cut several insurance carriers and DON'T SEND NOTICES OUT.
Do not call you can't reach a person in an office, its ALL done thru a call center out of state!
IF YOU THOUGHT THEY WERE YOUR LOCAL OFFICE, LOCAL PEOPLE HELPING OTHERS YOU ARE WRONG!!!

This practice has refused to provide my eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions, despite multiple requests. I called on 8/25 and 8/29, and also submitted their online request form after Labor Day. I'm currently out of town for an extended period and need my prescriptions, but they've been completely unresponsive. I've already filed a complaint with the FTC and will escalate further if needed. Patients are legally entitled to their prescriptions--this behavior is unacceptable and unprofessional.
AWESOME experience!! With recent eye exams. Dr. Alexander Jones is so very friendly, knowledgeable, and thourough. He really seems to care about his patients' eye health & vision! Explained tests and potential concerns, why exams necessary in simple terms and just NICE - every step of the way!
Kay at front desk always super helpful and am thankful for Kathi's help understanding the confusing insurance benefit maze. She navigated me through the steps & financial aspects of ordering glasses & contacts with enthusiasm and patience_ listening to exactly what I needed. Then, helped me figure out HOW best achieve the look, I wanted too, with honesty but also compassionate smiles and kindeness; even some laughs.
Last but not least, Rob (also a tech) is the ROCK STAR of the visit : he fixed a pair of glasses for me, that I adore; so much affection for _ had given up as absolutely UNrepairable. Really worked his skill & magic on their tools for me!
Now, can wear them again, was SO amazed_ did not have to purchase a replacement.
And hey, Rob also let me know that sometimes (?) your insurance MIGHT actually HAVE a "replacement benefit", if damaged or broken - usually within a year's time. SO - keep that in mind & perhaps look into it, should your own glasses break. THANKS, ROB!!
Just thrilled to share this and let everyone know what a great team there is out there for Vision Care [@Kennedy Eye Center, on Akron Penninsula Rd. Akron OH ] !!!! Grateful for them, really made my day brighter

Everyone was professional and helpful. Dr Jones gave me a thorough exam and made me feel confident in his care. He answered all of my questions and gave me comprehensive explanations. I didn't feel rushed at all.
Unfortunately I have to give at least 1 start because not giving a star, I can't leave the review. I've been at this office since at least 2017 & it's gone downhill tremendously. From waiting almost a year for a pair of glasses, to waiting a year & 4 months for contacts, after having paid for a contact exam & constant scheduling issues. While waiting for the contacts that I still haven't received, there was no communication about the contacts. The only way I found out they were on back order was because I had to keep calling. I've told them several times I'd just like my money back so I can go to a different office, & it's always an issue & well we can do... still no contacts, & no refund. Don't waste your time coming to this location unless you just have time, gas, & money to waste
I was last in at the beginning of 2023. My ophthalmologist that I had for many, many years was no longer available. The tech was pleasant and thoughtful. I met Dr. Jones for the first time today. After he did his exam and explained things, he was then open to questions, which he took his time to answer. I would recommend Kennedy Eye Center.
