Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute

Horrible Experience. Avoid this office. I had an appointment at 1:15 and sat in the exam room for 45 minutes. I ended up walking out as a lady told me the eye doctor refused to do an eye exam on me because I did not want to get my eyes dilated. This must be a new policy because I went to the Westlake Cole eye Institute and they did an eye exam with no issues. You would think before the appointment even started, they would ask these types of questions. Also, during my visit and long wait in the room, I received a MyChart notification for an after office summary visit stating that my eyes were dilated, and I saw the eye doctor. Bad customer service and communication. I would avoid this location and just go to the one located in Westlake where you will get quality service.

My kids and I have been seeing Dr. Erwin for the past 6 years at the Avon Lake office. We refuse to see any other physician because he has been absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend for adults and children.

I was pleased with my eye exam today. All of the personnel were professional. Dr. Erwin was very personable and an excellent communicator. He explained my test results clearly and answered all of my questions, passing up a chance to recommend another pair of expensive glasses when I needed only a pair of readers.

Nice selection of lenses if you like top tier frames. Great place to go so long as you can wait potentially months for an appointment. Had appointment cancelled due to a clinic illness and was rescheduled 4 weeks later. Wanted contacts in June, earliest appointment was at end of August. Called Walmart and had an appointment the next day, great prescription, temporary contacts that day. Honestly, probably a better prescription than what I had at Cole.

Doctor is fine, but they are refusing to file with our vision insurance even though they are "in network". So now they are billing us over $500 for a routine annual vision appointment. Seems like a money grab. I would definitely look elsewhere for an eye doctor.

I wanted to say how amazing the staff is when getting glasses I had Sam help me with purchasing Ray-Ban sunglasses her knowledge her compassion and her promptness on telling me when they came in is beyond amazing she is a true diamond in a rough thank you Sam for helping me with getting me on the right path for my sunglasses

Over priced junk. Bought a pair of dolabanys there a year ago and the paint flaked off in multiple places of the frame. They replaced them under warranty and the new pair had scratched frames when they gave them to me. They said they would allow me to choose another frame. Finally got my new glasses but the coatings I purchased were not correct and I was told they are not offered anymore. Rather than offer a refund for the coatings that weren't on the replacement pair, they suggest third party products. Will never go there again or recommend them.

I left my favorite sunglasses on the driver's of my car. Then promptly forgot that I did that, and sat on them. I stopped in today to see if anyone could help salvage what was left of them. Samantha fixed them in less than 5 minutes. She knew exactly what to do, and was very helpful and courteous. This was all happening in the middle of what appeared to be a busy Monday. Thank you for all the help!
