Clean and lovely staff. Rooms numbered l large so easy to see
Runs out of parking and drove until one opened up. Right off a freeway exit.
Only my first visit to this location, but the eye clinic's patient reps were nice & professional as well as Donna the opthalmology technician & Diane Tucker, O.D. Donna seemed personable & engaging. Dr. Tucker seemed kind of "well booked" yet open to answering questions & clarified when I was unsure, thorough & has a game plan set out for a return visit. The one older lady's (in the eyeglass center with the darker brown hair) attitude can use some real work for sure! She was a bit huffy & her demeanor came across with an attitude when I was trying to understand her half hearted attempt at explaining details from the insurance printout for what they have there, but became pleasant upon leaving, ugh! I like the eye clinic's staff here so far, but I'll drive to the Cleveland Eye Clinic further up Chagrin (not part of CCF) to use their eyeglass center. See for yourselves & tell me about your experience(s).
Went to this very wonderful eye doctor place full of love and care. I have some very kind, hard-working staff filling me in for an eye doctor appointment. One of the staff working there is filled with respect, kindness, generosity, and is very understanding. We waited in the very clean, spotless waiting room. Wait times are not long. That's awesome. Wait times are perfectly short. Then, this very professional eye doctor got to work checking my eyes. He gave me reasonable directions for my eyes. Dr. Tuten had me read every letter on the screen. That was very nice. Then he asked me to follow the light and both hands with my eyes. That was very superb. And the nicest yet fabulously painless test of all was the eye pressure, and of course, the eye drops. Given what I just went through, the eye doctor was very superb, caring, and full of love. We absolutely need loving eye care doctors and staff that is caring and kind. And this is one of them. Staff working there is absolutely five-star generous. In a loving, professional way. This is absolutely one generosity-filled doctor's office full of professional doctors and staff that cares for its patients.
I recently went in for a routine eye exam. Unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. A training tech performed most of the procedures, and was constantly being corrected by the tech doing the training. When it came to the eye pressure test, I felt uncomfortable and requested that the more experienced technician handle it.
To my surprise, I received a bill for nearly $1,000! Half was attributed to a "hospital fee," and the other half was for the "doctor's fee." Given the circumstances, I believe this is an exorbitant amount for a routine eye exam. I won't be returning for such a costly and unsatisfactory experience."
I just finished a series of pre- and post cataract surgery office visits at this location. I found the staff to be friendly and professional with every visit. I was never rushed and they were always on time. This goes for both the technical and administrative personnel. Kudos to whomever staffed this location !
The past year I began experiencing a rapid change in my vision. At my annual eye exam with an optometrist I was told that I had developed cataracts in both eyes. After doing my research on ophthalmologists who did eye surgery, I made an appointment with Dr. Shau at Cole Eye Institute in Beachwood. I can't express how happy I am to see clearly again. He is so pleasant, patient and does an excellent job of explaining options, procedures, and outcomes. I felt very confident that I had made the right choice after meeting him.
But, not only was Dr. Shau professional and extremely competent, so was his team and all the staff I encountered. I always felt that I was their most important priority. Everything was fully explained, no surprises. I never had to wait beyond my appointment time either. This was so nice especially since it was over an hour drive to get there. It was definitely worth the drive as I feel I received the best care possible. I highly recommend Dr. Shau.
Horrible service! Whether you are making an appointment, checking in or paying your bill, the Cleveland Clinic is a terrible place to do business. This entity has clearly become too large to care about its patients. It is rare you encounter anyone with a sense of accountability or empathy. The attitude is clearly entitled: "we have plenty more patients why should we care about you?" I'm so fed up with Cole that I'm finding a new eye doctor. This past go around, I didn't even get to see the doctor because I was made to wait so long. Of course, if you politely ask about the wait time, you always receive a rapid rebuke (at least the CCF is consistent). My other visits for the past 6 years have been more of the same. It took me 3 months of calling an in person visits just to get an acceptable receipt for insurance purposes. Everyone I talked to just wanted to pass the buck. No returned calls. I had to solve in person. The actual visit with the doctor has been fine, although im not sure the doctor even noticed i was thee. The problem is getting whacked for $200 for a 10 minute visit where you are treated like a piece of meat that had to thaw for an hour before being microwaved for 10 minutes.
Amazing Patient Care and experience! My mom's eye surgery was a complicated case ~ Dr Shao was OUTSTANDING! Pre and post surgery care was wonderful. Surgery went extremely well. Our sincere thanks for the all around excellent care and service!
