My family and I have been going to this office for about 5 or more years. Dr Robinson and the one young lady are great but Sheila is the worst. Her customer service is HORRIBLE and she gets mad when you catch her mistake like it's your fault. She don't order stuff when she suppose to and lie when you call her out. She's a mean and nasty old lady that needs to retire because obviously she don't give a darn about the patients who pay her salary.. I will NEVER go to this place again in life! If I could give it zero stars I would.
I've been a loyal customer for over 10 years. Normally, I have wonderful service , and I always get great service from Dr. Robinson. Recently I've had trouble getting through to schedule an appointment. About a month ago I called, and was told to hold on and then was disconnected. I got busy so I decided I would call back at a later date. Today I called again, and the phone was picked up, then disconnected. So I figured, maybe it was a mistake. I called back, and the woman on the other end was not friendly at all. I heard nothing, and kept saying hello. She finally responded, so I was a bit confused, asked if this was still Dr.Robinson's office. She replied by just asking who I was. I told her I would like to schedule an appointment, and she asked for my name, but she was very short, and unfriendly. Due to her negative demeanor and the fact that I had been hung up on 3 times I told her nevermind, and to have a good day. She hung up immediately. If it weren't for this I would definitely continue my service with Dr. Robinson. It's a shame, because I enjoy him, but I cannot pay for service when the person sitting at the front desk answering phones is unfriendly, and frankly unprofessional. Outside of this experience I would've definitely given 5 stars. I hope Dr. Robinson addresses this and implements some training to whoever this young lady is so that he won't loose customers anymore.
I called 3 times, someone said "Hello" with an attitude, I asked if it was Dr.Robinsons office because the way she answered the phone threw me off. She hung up, I called back twice and she picked up the phone and hung it up. I then went to get an eye exam because the website says "Walk-ins welcome" as soon as I walked in she says "we don't take walk ins" my time wouldn't have been wasted if she would've done her job and answered the phone and answered my questions professionally. Terrible customer service.
I have gone to this establishment on a couple occasions, which was great visits. but I just recently kept receiving reminders text messages to schedule my next appointment and when I reached out to do so it was bad customer service, and than I reach out the next day and in the middle of scheduling an eye exam with the actual doctor who hung up on me and when I returned the call to determine the disconnect another representative answered and told me he basically hung up on me because he was off to lunch! I will never ever support or be a customer at this business ever again!!
I love the transparency of Dr. Robinson. I asked him some questions and he was honest. I wish I still lived in the area, otherwise I would still be going. It felt very comfortable there and not super sterile feeling and dry. I felt like Dr. Robinson cares and I am not just a number. I definitely recommend.
I called the office to order glasses for my DD daughter. I assumed the secretary Sheila had a bad day because clearly she lacked all customer service etiquette that was taught in Business101. Not only was she rude, but she made me feel like I was bothering her by calling the office. That's okay Sheila i'll take my business elsewhere... I'm sure another optometrist will be happy to have my business.
This service was so poor that I felt it was my obligation to write my first online review of a business. Here are three reasons why everyone should not come to Dr. Robinson:
1. Poor condition of Eyewear
After trying on a few pairs of glasses, none seemed to be a good fit. After finally finding a simple, black frame, the glasses did not even sit level on the table. After bringing this up, the assistant gave me a glare and stated, "I can try and bend them for you back into place." I figured it was better to keep them as-is than trust this assistant bending them crudely out of my sight.
2. Poor Customer Service
After being their customer for over a year, I asked Dr. Robinson to fax over my contact information at the request of my new provider. I told them it could save me hundreds of dollars, and they couldn't care less. The same assistant as mentioned before, with a condescending attitude, gave me a simple, "yeah, we're not going to do that for you." I said, "ok..." After that, she hung up! I was shocked at this service...
3. Wait time
Even when there are no patients in queue for checkups, Dr. Robinson takes an extremely long time to do any procedure. They gave me an estimate of twenty minutes, but I waited over one hour before even entering the room to start the examination. I was second in line. What was he doing for over an hour? Maybe this is normal at some places, but at other locations I have been to, I never have to wait this long. I would have much rather been told I had an hour wait so I could leave and come back. Wouldn't you agree?
I understand that things can go wrong, but if the customer service team can't even fake a smile, I can't justify doing business with them. If you're looking for good service, quality products, and a short wait time, try anywhere else! Seriously, I recommend any other optometrist that you can find.
My children and I like this practice. I never had any issues.
