The exam itself was fine, but the staff not so much You found a pair of frames that I liked. It wouldn't work with my prescription asked the staff member to help me find some that looked similar to what I was interested in that would be covered with my prescription. I was directed across the room brought back four pairs I liked and three of those were not correct. When I finally found my own pairs that worked. I was told 7 to 10 days and when I call back now it's two weeks but the whole reason I even paid out-of-pocket and didn't use my insurance elsewhere was because you guaranteed a 7 to 10 day turnaround and mine were broken. And since I couldn't get you to help look for frames for the new glasses, you certainly weren't going to help me find a pair. My lenses would fit in until then, even though I was willing to pay for it.
Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. This was my first visit and they made sure I received the best experience possible. The wait was longer than I anticipated but, working in healthcare, I understand that there could be many reasons for that. All in all, I have no complaints!
Update... they made my glasses twice and they were wrong both times. She bent them and bent them over and over to the point I was afraid of them breaking. Still couldn't see. They she wanted me to have another eye exam, go to a lined bifocal, etc. I declined because I thought the exam should have been right the first time. The "technician" became a little less friendly when I said I would go elsewhere for glasses. My vision is IMPORTANT and my time is valuable. I got a refund.
Very pleasant experience here. The entire front staff were wonderful. The optometrist was great. He explained everything and answered every question I had. The price (No insurance) was really reasonable. I'll definitly return!
My eyes have gotten progressively worse and I saw there ad, "an eyes exam and 2 pairs of glasses for $95". I'm not naive. I expected to pay twice that, maybe even a little more. I also expected to know what I was paying for and have each upgrade clearly priced out for me as they were talking to me about the different options. The exam and seeing the doctor was pleasant enough. $30 extra to have my peripheral vision checked and to be checked for macular degeneration. Probably worth it. But then I go to figure out my total cost and pick out my glasses. I picked out 1 pair of their included frames and 1 pair that were $70 more. As she's bolting on one thing after another, I'm constantly asking the price difference for each item and she just won't tell me. "We'll see how it comes out.". I keep saying, "anti glare and blue light filtering sounds nice but what is the price difference?". No definitive answer. She just kept dancing around the cost. Finally she tells me, "before discounts, you were at $765 but now you're at $550, how do you want to pay?". I felt like I was dealing with a 90s used car salesman. What a slimey icky feeling. After negotiating back and forth, and giving up my 2nd pair of glasses, frustrated, sitting there thinking "I'm already committed to paying for whatever the exam costs and I just want to be able to see" I managed to get something for just under $400. I will get these glasses and never return to this place. Immoral, scummy sales tactics were set between me and my ability to see. Do not go here.
I haven't even picked up my glasses yet. But, my experience was sad and aggravating at best. I have insurance and the person helping me was very unpersonable. I was never offered anything on my glasses. For example transitions, glare protection or anything else for that matter. I understand if my insurance would not cover something, but I was not even offered the opportunity to add anything, even I wanted to pay cash for extras. She was very short and to the point mot asking even if I wanted anything at all on these glasses. I will not be returning next year.
Went for an exam for contact lenses. I completed the exam, paid for the lenses and left after being told that my contacts should be in within 5 to 7 work days. It's been 20 days today! I called the store today and was put on hold for approximately 3 minutes then was told that my order was there waiting for pickup and that it had just arrived. I asked the girl if it just arrived and she said yes, that's what I said, they just arrived. I honestly don't believe that, and I also believe that if I had not called them, I would still be waiting on my phone call or e-mail from them. Terrible customer service in my opinion. 20 days for 1 box of contact lenses? Come on, do better.
If you're doctors can't keep to a schedule, then schedule less people. You seem to think that it's okay to keep people waiting. We're PAYING YOU for a service. The least you could do is keep to schedule. And a follow up exam after wearing the contacts that you prescribed, before allowing me to have MY prescription, sounds more like a money grab from our insurance companies.
DO NOT GO!! Worst waiting experience I have ever had. My son had a contact appointment and we waited almost an hour and a half after the appointment time to be seen. Then today I waited over an hour for his follow up contact appointment. There were two doctors staffed and they were significantly behind. Stop over booking your doctors. It's not fair to them nor is it fair to the patients waiting absurdly long wait times. We will not be back.
