Bloomberg Eyecare, now part of MyEyeDr.

I can't say enough about Dr. Bloomberg. Every time I go there whether it's for an eye exam or for an issue, he is always courteous, professional, and explanatory. My last visit involved in issue I had with my eye and he was very comforting in telling me that this was not anything to be overly concerned about. The man is very compassionate, and you can see that in the way he treats his patients. this is a trait that has been lost in modern medicine. I'm glad he is still here.

MyEyeDr seems to have taken what was probably one of the best optometrists offices I've ever dealt with and turned it into their own personal cash machine that's only concerned about draining every cent possible from both you and your insurance company. I liked the frames I got from the original Bloomberg and was looking to get the same with my new script. What was around $300 two years ago has now more than doubled to almost 800. It was nice knowing them. [EDIT] As evident by their copy and paste response, the new owners are completely clueless. I never had a problem with the service I've received. The problem lies in their recent price spikes.

Dr. Bloomberg and his staff were very kind and professional and exceeded our expectation at providing excellent eye care. We could not be happier with his service and caring.

I so badly wanna put ah 1 start cause of my disappointment wit hearing that they no longer take my insurance but I won't be completely bitter as I've been coming here since ah child and only have ever had good service from them ... I'm honestly hurt and sad that I now at almost 30 years have to find another person to play in my eyes very hurt and disappointed

My child had an eye exam done there and she is only 6 it was right after school. I had to take whatever appointment I could get since everyone has been booked up for months. ( she had an appointment at akron children's in December 2025 after I called and set in up in December 2024) So I had to bring her twin along with me. First off Amazing staff all around. Then we had two different doctors do all of the exams. Which both of them were amazing. Even with the twin who wasn't getting the exam done they let her participate at at certain times.I even asked a bit of questions. What to look for and what ifs and as silly as they were the doctor was extremely friendly and answered them all. Then we go to leave another one of the staff made sure. My daughter's eyes were protected. I was putring sunglasses on her because ai didn't want the other twin to get upset she didn't get whatever her sister had. But the woman was like "o no these will work better than sunglasses" and then proceeded to hand and but on the one twin's glasses and gave the other twin a pair as well and offered to put them on her. Also, I went to go leave after that and I didn't realize I didn't sigh a paper the school needed( well I completely forgot about it) out comes running the staff to make sure I signed it and told me they could just fax it in for me... Just amazing place. That is all I can say.

The ladies are very nice! They made sure to talk my thru everything. Dr. Bloomberg is also a very nice guy! I'm happy my mom talked me into going to him. Other ones I've heard are very mean. But I would definitely recommend going to Dr. Bloomberg...

First of all, the new location in Boardman is beautiful, spacious and well thought out. I have been Dr. Bloomberg's patient for a number of years and he always gives me a very thorough exam, takes his time to answer all questions I may have and makes recommendations that are spot on. His staff is very knowledgeable and always friendly. Easy to make appointments and they accept my insurance, which is a bonus. I highly recommend their services and if you ever feel like you have an issue for any reason, I am sure they would be happy to take care of your concerns.

Compassionate staff! I've only seen Dr Frank Brown, who is very professional and knowledgeable in the optometry field. Great prices on contract lenses. I esp like their operating hours - til 6 and 1 on Sat which easily accommodates my schedule.
