Yesterday I visited the Clifton office of Clarkson Eyecare. Dr. Justin Gillette was my doctor and he was terrific. The appointment was for my contact lenses and he took time with me and talked with me and was extremely helpful. I highly recommend him and appreciate his professional and kind manner .

Staff was super friendly. Office was clean, light and airy. I Loved being able to Pre-register online as well as scan my ID my insurance cards. It made check-in much easier.

Scheduling admin has been shamelessly combative.. I 'pressed Y to confirm' my annual apt through text, because they will cancel if you do not.. (which is insane dude). The auto text still CANCELLED my apt 4 days before it was scheduled. Within 3 hours they filled my spot and then texted me back (finally). They are then booked out for 3 months.. Still was given rank attitude when scheduling through text. After they inconvenienced the patient.. though they will "get with IT" for the initial problem. No reconciliation? Looks to be a pattern in these reviews, and I'm sure they will shoot over a copy/paste reply on this.
Though, I remember the doc being very good and techs were seamless.
Cautiously optimistic about this place. Hope they get rid of that admin service (?)

I visited Clarkson Eyecare in Clifton, OH about 1.5 years ago and had a positive experience. At that appointment I scheduled another annual exam a year out. When I showed up for the appointment the doors were closed and they were not open that day. No one called to reschedule my appointment when their office days/hours changed.
When I called to reschedule, the next available appointment was 6 months away. I booked it and the scheduler told me that if any appointments became available they would let me know. I received no calls for openings in 6 months.
Today I showed up for my appointment (after getting confirmation emails and text messages). When I arrived, the ladies at the front desk informed me that there were no doctors in the office today. I told them which doctor I was supposed to see and they notified me the doctor has not been with them for over a month. I received no notifications or rescheduling efforts. I am BEYOND frustrated and will no longer step foot into a Clarkson Eyecare center.
