Costco Optical Department

Costco Optical tried to limit my contact lens order to only two boxes of contact lenses because my contact lens prescription was expiring in TWO MONTHS. It was NOT expired: SS315.6 Expiration of contact lens prescriptions. (a) In general. A contact lens prescription shall expire: (1) On the date specified by the law of the State in which the prescription was written, if that date is one year or more after the issue date of the prescription; (2) Not less than one year after the issue date of the prescription if such State law specifies no date or specifies a date that is less than one year after the issue date of the prescription. I had $140 in one-time per year vision benefits available to use on my insurance plan. So, they expected me to pay $70 per box by limiting me to only two boxes of contacts. Please beware of this scam used by opticians to force you to schedule eye examinations on their terms rather than your own. I left and purchased the contact lenses elsewhere.

I would love to give a 5 star review for April at the Costco vision department. She was the first person to cheerily greet me and offer help. She was super helpful in finding the frames that look best on my face. She was patient and even calculated out the different options so I knew what the best deal was. I highly recommend her!

Exactly what I hoped and expected from Costco. Great value - both for frames and lenses. Adequate choice. Efficient and professional service. I will never go back to dedicated eye stores. Thank you Michelle.

Had a wonderful experience with Dr. Carafice. He was very thorough and professional. He answered all my questions and concerns in detail and with great patience. I really appreciate the care he provided me with. Will definitely go back for my next annual eye exam.

Had a good experience with the doctors office. They squeezed us in when my son broke his glasses. However, the 3 ladies working where you pick your glasses were horrible. I had to announce myself because all 3 had their cell phones out and were ignoring everything. I was the only customer and one rudely said look at those 3 racks ....then went back to playing on her phone. My son knows what he likes and picked a pair pretty quickly. All three were still playing on their phones. Again I had to drag one of them away from her phone to ring us up. Won't bother going back there again.

Came in today and April could not have been any nicer. Very knowledgeable and helped me select 2 pairs of glasses.Excellent service.

I had the best exam with Dr. Carafice . He was very thorough and helped me to better understand my situation. So happy to have found him!

Nice doctor, nice technicians, but after three visits and two sets of glasses, I can't read a thing. I will never go again.
