Staff in reception area were friendly, helpful, & professional. They seemed to have a good relationship with one another. The assistants are efficient & give clear instructions. This is my 6+ visit with Dr. Arar. He is always professional & patient. He clearly explains what he's examining or testing for, gives a summary of his findings, describes his recommendations (if there are any changes), and asks if I have any questions. There have always been a number of patients on the days I've had my appointments, but Dr. Arar seems to give his complete attention to me when he's conducting my exam.

Dr Arar and his technical staff are all excellent. Your new check in and software is a real problem. By 1:10 pm on 1/7/26 the line was all the way back to the elevator, at least 10 people. Furthermore people checking out seem to get preference and imped the check in process. Also I did the online preregistration, did not find it very user friendly, very time consuming and it never indicated the registration was completed. It is better than your previous system which kept trying to sell a product.

Dr. Arar took time, answered questions and explained things. I wasn't very pleased with him. All the office staff were friendly and everything ran smoothly. I wasn't there as long as originally stated. They seem to have it all together even with one system being down.

My husband was diagnosed as having a detached retina which requires immediate surgery, at another hospital in Dayton Oh. The emergency room doctor contacted Dr Arar and per his instructions, we were instructed to contact his office this morning at 8:30 this morning for emergency surgery. We called numerous times and the office was of course closed due to the holiday. Doesn't this doctor know if his office is closed or open. My husband's eye is getting worse throughout this day and we are frantic !!!!!!

About Hisham Arar, M.D.

Dr. Arar completed his undergraduate degree at Xavier University and his graduate degree at the University of Dayton. While at the University of Dayton, he presented and published many papers in the field of biomedical engineering. He then attended the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, followed by a post-doctoral fellowship in eye research involving corneal wound healing and macular degeneration. Dr. Arar presented his work at the Association of Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and received the Ohio Lion's Eye Research Foundation Fellowship for his research. After his residency at the University of Cincinnati, he completed a six-month rotation in cataract and implant surgery at Cincinnati Eye Institute.
