Dr. Howell is one of the most thorough optometrists my family has ever used! It's not just a quick out and done with her. She uses a minimum of 3 machines to check every aspect of your eyes, and she gives honest feedback about current issues and potential issues in the future. I have tried other optometrists in the area, and their level of care is significantly lower than Dr. Howell's, in my opinion. So, even if Dr. Howell is 50 miles from my home, I will go out of my way to go to her because she's worth it.

My family of 5 has seen Dr Howell for years and you will not find a more caring and thorough eye doctor around. She never rushes and has helped us all with our various eye issues (glasses, contacts, dry eyes, any infections). She is the best---plus love the new location!

I have received care from Dr. Howell for the past 5 years, even though her office and my home have both changed locations during that time. I am very particular about my health and Dr. Howell consistently meets my expectations by being thorough, concise and personable. She expertly guides me down the optimal path to eye care, assisting me with my vision without trying to "sell me" anything. It is clear that her only consideration is my well-being. Dr. Howell is very attentive to a patients' questions and problems. She is accessible for emergencies and bends over backwards to provide excellent customer service. She looks at the big picture of your eye health, not necessarily what your initial symptom or complaint is, and comes up with a comprehensive treatment plan. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Howell. She is a caring health care professional and really understands what the title Dr. means.

I have had a great experience here, but my husband not so great. I sent him to Dr Howell because of my good experience and our insurance covered it. He ordered the glasses Dr. Howell prescribed, but cannot use them; he can not see with them. In addition to not being able to see with the prescription, the glasses do not fit him properly and there was no one in the office the two times he went in that had actual training on how to 'fit' the glasses. When he said he could not use the glasses, the person said that they had to send them to the cheaper/insurance lab to be made and this was the reason that they were not quite right...I wish someone would have just told us this... we would have opted to send to the full price lab. After sending them back to the lab at least once to be re-worked, my husband is now wearing his 4+ year old glasses and the $500+ pair of glasses is in the drawer...He travels and does not have time patience or willingness to go back. This may be a cautionary tale that you 'get what you pay for'...I just wish someone had informed us of the insurance lab and the non-insurance lab. ****A FEW WEEKS LATER Dr Howell reached out to my husband after reading this review. He finally did get his classes corrected and is now using them! Really appreciate the effort that went into making this right for him

So happy that I found Dr Howell! I'm finally seeing properly and also found out that my 'baby' cataracts have gotten worse due to the steroidal injections I've been getting for pain management. Although I live out of state, I'll definitely be having the procedure for cataracts done by a doctor that Dr Howell recommends.

Dr. Howell is very thorough! My hubby and I have been going to her for many years; here at InFocus and when she was with Thoma & Sutton in Milford.

Great place to come for your eyes. The doctor is super nice and caring, plus the staff is over the top knowledgeable, helpful, nice, and very affordable.
