Once you arrive for your appointment the check procedure is very quick. You are directed to waiting area, I was taking back to start testing within 5 mins. After a few testing procedure I was taken to a room to meet Dr. Hutchins to go over my test results, he was very thorough explaining my test results. Answered any question that I had. I would definitely recommend CEI and Dr. Hutchins.

Love the appointment reminders. The staff, from the front desk clerks to the technician assistants to Dr. Hutchins, are just wonderful. Although the waiting time tends to be long, the waiting room is comfortable. The assistant and the doctor are professional, friendly and are very thorough when explaining the procedures.

The wait time was extreme. Once I was in waiting room i waited for doctor and I sat there 30 minutes. Different gentleman came in first. He was getting things started. Which fine then sat there and typed notes for 10 minutes. Told me doctor would I, in a few minutes. Like another 20 minutes. Should not have to sit and wait that long. The doctor was super nice once I saw him.

Dr. Hutchins and the staff are great! But, the waiting time to see the doctor is appalling. My apt. was 3:15 on a Friday afternoon. I arrived early not on purpose. Fortunately, a good show was on the TV in the waiting room. The preliminary exam was done right away and included dilating my eyes. After that I waited and waited. So did others. Then, a man with a 3 pm appt was called in, then me, and then the last person with a 3:30. I saw the doctor a few minutes after 5 pm! That is not acceptable!

About Robert Hutchins, M.D.

Robert K. Hutchins, M.D. is a retina and vitreous surgeon who has been practicing in the Cincinnati and Southeast Indiana region since 1987. Dr. Hutchins teaches retinal surgery to resident physicians and vitreo-retinal surgical fellows at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, where he is a member of the full-time faculty as an Associate Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology and runs the Retina Service. Dr. Hutchins' expertise covers the entire spectrum of vitreo-retinal conditions some of which include complex retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, macular hole, macular pucker, macular degeneration, ocular histoplasmosis, retinal vascular disease, and posterior segment trauma.
