My experience at White Oak Vision Center was great. There was no wait time and I was seen at my scheduled appointment time. The staff was super friendly and gave me then option to opt-out of any extra services which were not covered by my insurance. When it came to actually get glasses the staff was not pushy and wanted me to come to my own conclusions on what I wanted and not what was most expensive. Overall it is a small, refined staff, that takes care of patients.

After noticing that my 3 year old has a lazy eye, I made an appointment with Cincinnati Children's but after waiting several months for the appointment, I found out they do not accept vision insurance and it would have cost me $650 out of pocket. I was very happy to see that White Oak Vision Center will see patients as young as "toddlers" as stated in multiple places on their website. I made appointment for myself and my children (ages 3.5 and 7). I received a call the next day asking if my youngest was familiar with his letters. I assured them that he was, and has known all of his letters for over a year. That seemed to be acceptable and I asked if he could be placed on a waitlist for a sooner appointment, since they are scheduled out a couple months and I would like to get his vision corrected as soon as possible. I just received a call today (about a week later). I was expecting to be offered a sooner appointment. Instead, I was told they need to cancel his appointment because they don't see children under 5 years old, contrary to what is stated on their website. Thanks, White Oak Vision Center. I will find another optometrist to take my family's business to.
