The doctor showed absolutely no care about the problems I told him I had. One of the problems I said I had was trouble seeing in the dark so he examined my eyes for a couple minutes and then said, "no you don't have trouble seeing in the dark." I've never had a doctor contradict me like that by telling me I could see fine after telling him I couldn't. I felt incredibly unheard and uncomfortable the rest of the visit. Not only that, but he said I was totally fine and then when I looked at his proviso notes and diagnosis it said I have dry eyes. Why he wouldn't tell me that in person is beyond me. I will never come to see this doctor after this horrible treatment. I expect more compassion.

I believe talking to myself in the mirror would've been more engaging than my visit with him. He wouldn't let me speak without cutting me off, so I gave up. My issue was not addressed to my satisfaction.

The doctor was more focused on rushing through documentation than actually listening and answering my concerns. I wish I had read the reviews beforehand--I wouldn't have wasted my time and money.

After two years of specialist care (not a Clinic provider) to restore vision in my eye, it was finally time for a new eyeglass prescription. I went to Cole Eye Center to see Dr. Rockwood. 90% of my visit was spent initially with an optician, who performed a very basic eye examination. When she heard my eye treatment background, she said I should not have made an appointment with an optician. My appointment was made with an ophthalmologist. Upon seeing, ever so briefly, Dr. Rockwood, he summarized that my repaired eye was nearly useless, and suggested an eye patch. He seemed put off that my eye surgeries weren't performed through the Cleveland Clinic. Doctor Donald Stevens III, my surgical specialist, provided me with a prescription, and vision has been restored to that eye, thank God.
